I was even going to try it on a raffles case that I have, but the raffles has a completely different, non-gen mechanism in the bezel.

Nope, I woke up realising I was being overdramatic about the crown on the RAF and so I pulled the trigger on the RAF with the sticky out crown instead. It should arrive to me in 2 days. I'll put a golden crown on it immediately and see if it improves the look at all, or not. I don't expect miracles haha

Ha, great reference, very Rolex. This explains that you have no use for dial, bezel etc.

Yeah but I'm not worried about it. It's fixable one way or another and modding, casework and finding parts is part of the hobby for me and an excuse to use all my silly tools and put on the finger condoms. If I just wanted to buy a watch and wear it I would have bought something else than this one. I read the the whole thread before buying and went into it with open eyes.

Same here. I love to play around. I was just saying that you can easily address it with gen crown which is not super expensive

@mmax Wow. thanks a lot for the kind words!! Sourcing parts always feels quick and easy to me because I don't mind things with a bit of.. character .. I don't seek perfection with 5digit watch parts so my gen hands are used etc haha.
I wish it was a gen bracelet. In my dreams. Basically I'd wanted to keep the cost right down on the bracelet so I had to let my gold bracelet go and instead I bought a cheapy BP 16613 2813 and threw away the cheap watch head to use just the bracelet part for around 118GBP. The BP 16613 bracelet fits the ARF case head seemlessly. BP makes an attempt to put golden colour on the sides of the SEL midlinks nowadays. I think the bracelet has 93250 engraved on it LOOOL but it's good fun, it keeps me happy. I think I might've used a BP crown on the ARF case too actually because that's a great fit too. Though it might've been one of my real gold ones.

I will be taking mine apart when it arrives so I'll see if I can take some macro shots of the dial and hands removed from the case when it arrives. I don't have gen hands to compare with though but you can probably find that elsewhere.

I only have an LN RAF - No LV but i just visually compared my gen 16613 hands with the shape and size of my 16610LN RAF hands and they've very, very comparable suprisingly. So I'd advise not buying the gens until you see your raf hands in person and see that you're happy with RAF or not.
