QF Daydate 36MM Tungsten

Yeah I’ve given up after waiting 6 or 7 weeks of “Qc pics coming soon” promises and changed to one of the new clean bimetallic Daytonas.

I’ll maybe revisit these at a later date…

I mentioned possibly switching to the GMF version instead, but was told the QF version was far superior. Sales tactic? Who knows. I plan on letting this hit about the 2 month period at which time I may make the switch to the GMF instead. I'm not mad at the dealer at all, from what I've read for a while about tungsten pieces and parts, they can take a while an be hard to source due to machining or material availability. I'll let you guys know if I hear anything else.

@Kerbus what dealer did you initially go with and which one was able to source the QF 36 tungsten for you afterwards? Out of curiosity. I'm currently waiting with Andiot. Elliott has been nothing but stellar for me with all my purchases with him, but I do know some dealers have better inside tracks with certain factories.

Ordered a “WG” version, QC came about 4 days later, let’s see how long it will take to arrive. Hopefully the watch is nice.. I want to get a RG as well, hopefully some photos start to show up

It was Andiot I was waiting for the QC for 7 weeks, I’ve used trusty and Puretime a lot over the years and never given up before, although I believe it’s more the availability of the product I asked for rather than Elliot’s failing. I just wish he’d offered me an alternative model.

I asked about a couple other models but he's told me that the QF model is the best one and to hold out for it. I asked about the QF 40mm models and he told me that it would be the same wait. When I asked about GMF, that's when he said QF was superior. I asked him what the typical wait time was for these and he said usually 7-10 days. I said it had been 6 weeks and he said he would look into my order. That was Saturday night, so I figured I'd let him check things out now that a new week has started and see if he comes back with any kind of answer. I kinda feel bad about asking for updates, even though I've only asked 3 times over the 6 weeks now.

I would say so, my case is also with Andiot and got QC in 4 days ("WG" Blue dial).

Can i change the day date wheel to gen to a a2386 movement? or not? just thinking of replacing a gen wheel.

whats the problem with your a2836 movement? mine’s gear got stuck its stops when it hit the seconds hand in 4th to 5th hour marker somewhere in between , but i brought it to my watchsmith to fix it nothing broken..serviced it, & now its all good!

It worked beautifully for 7.5 days until at 7:45 pm the day window moved and got stuck. Only the date moves I'm not sure if still at midnight.

I haven't tried the YouTube fix yet. I sure hope the local guy might fix it along with my omega or else I have to send them out

This has been the year of repairs,both gen and rep.

I did get my QC pics yesterday and approved. Looking forward to getting the watch. For the record, it's the yellow gold with silver stick dial and took about 7 weeks for anyone who may be waiting for or considering the same model. Might give you an example of what kind of time you may need to wait for some of the models. QF doesn't seem to be churning them out too quickly, but they are eventually getting to them. Be patient.
