Hey all. I got these pictures the other day from davidsen of my completed PAM000. He is shipping it Monday, which I immagine is in just a few hours over in Hong Kong. I am really looking forward to getting this, as it is my first order from the man, and I am sure not my last.

Enjoy the pictures. I will post a full review upon its arrival.

The only thing I can say that I didn't like is the fact that the lever is not flush to the crown guard. I have asked Davidsen to correct this and he said he will try, which i think means he will. I know his customer service is second to none, so i am sure he will make good on this. i asked him to either grind it flush, or exchange it with another crown guard. most of the crown guards in his pictures on his posts show flush, so i am sure this won't be a problem.

Worst case scenario, i am sure i can file it down myself. Has anyone ever done this, and is it difficult?

I have asked this to come on a black strap with white stitching.

I can't wait...again, these are the pics he sent me...

Very nice watch brother! :p

Even if he doesn't manage to fix the lever for you, you can do this easily by yourself by removing the lever from the CG and than sanding off the excess "fat". Finish by a few final strokes with 400 or 600 grit sand paper. A very easy jobbie, really.

If not too late I'd ask DSN for a caseback with G-series serial number. Base 000 Logo was first made in G series, so F serial is slightly wrong. Not an issue for most, but if you care about these things...:)

cheers,
babola

thanks everyone.

babola...i know it is the wrong case back, but I don't want to bug davidsen too much on my first order. I am sure I can just buy one later and slap it on. the crown guard is the bigger issue. i may ask him anyway and see.

I'm sure he wouldn't mind, get it while he still has few spare G cases available

he did the sandwich instead of the standard because of the lume.

i am actually partial to sandwich dials, i really love the look of them.

did the 000 not come as a sandwich?

bablola, do you know if the g case backs have the op logo on them too?

Pam Base Logo never came in sandwich dial variety :)
I have one of his G-series solid casebacks with OP number that belongs to PAM005. AFAIK, no rep maker has made correct PAM Base Logo caseback, they all use 005 caseback on both 000 and 005.

We're getting now in too much detail and slightly digress from the original post. PM me for additional info if you'd like. :)

cheers,
babola

Nice watch but wrong caseback and totally wrong dial. It looks sandwich. The 000 are only sausage.

i am not overly concerned about the dial. however, the funny thing is, i have a g series caseback on my franken 009. the one i posted a couple of days ago. i guess i will swap the casebacks =)

It'd be closer but the 000G was made in an edition of 500, not 1000. Also, the model number will probably incorrect. These issues might not bother you, however.

I like everything about this watch. The dial looks great, the color of the lume in normal light is just right and that is my favorite movement. Together with DSN case and workmanship it will be outstanding.
