Possible problem with eBay sale

So as many here knows I recently bought then flipped a gen omega speed master. I made a few bucks and shipped the watch to the buyer with tracking, insurance and signature confirmation. The buyer insisted that I ship the watch to an address that the post office could not find in there database. So I figured maybe it's an apartment or something. I shipped it overnight and the next day, nobody was available to sign for the package. Then it appears the watch has been attempted to be delivered four times already with tomorrow possibly being the last time before I guess it gets sent back to me. What do I do in this position? I already called PayPal and they said I did everything right and I shouldn't worry. The item was paid for and I withdrew the funds from PayPal already. I'm just worried that he was going to try and scam me but being that I have signature confirmation and insurance, maybe now he will try to fight me saying it was not as described/broken or that he didn't get it. Anybody have any advice? Prior similar circumstance?

Not seen this one as a scam. It does seem rather odd. I would say that if the watch does get sent back to you, open the parcel then contact the buyer and explain the issues you have found with postage, perhaps ask for an alternate address that the PO do recognise. Then before sending the item again, video it to show it is working and in good condition, with something in the video to prove the date you shot it. That way, if it is a scam, you're covered with the video. Hope you're not being scammed. Good luck

That's a great idea, I really should had taken a video to begin with. The buyer paid immediately and said it was a gift for someone that's why it's being sent to a different address. I don't wanna have to spend another $60 to ship the watch back to him because it gets expensive with insurance, signature confirmation, overnight service.

I just want the buyer to get the watch, be happy and then I can calm down about it. I'm always worried when expensive items are in the hands of the USPS haha

If you had all of this to begin with and the postage tracking shows the correct updates then you're covered. Once you get the watch back you're in a better position as you have his money and the item. At least for now, PP and eBay will be on your side as you've sent the watch and have proof of updates. Even if it did go missing you should have insurance to cover the cost of the watch.

At least you didn't cheap out on the postage like I did when sending something (not watch related) to a different country. It got delivered for sure, but because I was cheap there was no international tracking. I'm taking a pretty solid guess the buyer just pretended it didn't come. At least that can't happen to you.

I wonder what happens if the watch gets sent back, then buyer disappears or doesn't want it. I clearly stated no returns on my ad.

Unless he paid by gift, I don't think he could do a PP charge back. He'd have to report a dispute and ask PP to investigate, where with all the above, you will have PP and eBay on your side.

Doesn't PayPal guarantees work with verified addresses only. Seems odd the buyer would have it sent to a different ad. If it's a gift you would assume he/she would like to gift wrap it first?

Maybe I made a mistake agreeing to send it to the different address?

Wtf? They gave him a refund? Normally the buyer has to file a dispute and PP/eBay hold the cash until the dispute is sorted.

Did you update eBay/PP with a tracking number?

yes I updated with tracking info and I even called last night and spoke to a representative who said I did it all right abd they cannot touch my funds. This is such bull. The tracking number shows its scheduled to be delivered tomorrow

Call the delivery agent and have it pulled if poss. The call PP and find out WTF they are playing at as a dispute should have meant they discussed with you first, at which point you evidence you did everything possible to deliver. Hopefully you get the watch back at least.
