Pelagos ZF vs. V6 - is there a consensus?

I've had the 1st gen ZF and now the second gen from V6f. It's all the same. The only difference this time ZF has a more accurate bezel color. But the previous gen black ceramic bezel was awful, and the bracelet sucks on all versions. Also, I have a gen Pelagos as well so I can compare somewhat.

Just received my black V6f 25600TN. The one pictured on the right is a gen 25500TN. I had the rep 25500TN from ZF and I think V6f does a better job at replicating the black tone on the bezel.

Fracture, I know the two models aren't exactly alike, but what would your opinion be on the level of finishing of the lume inserts on the bezel? The triangle looks a bit wobbly and the numbers are noticeably fatter to my eyes, is it worth waiting to see what ZF do with a black variant as the picture review of the ZF blue in another thread shows a much crisper attention to the bezel detail than the V6 you have there, I think.

What you're listing there is only going to be noticable when they're next to each other. I'd rather be worried about decent lume application and alligned markers.
My previous ZF had a weird paint application on the bezel that made it very difficult to remove smudges. No trace of that on the V6f.

Cheers, I'd assumed as much - if you've not got them side by side and it stands up on it's own right then I'm happy, I'll just be vigilant when QC pics come through. Just wish I'd put an order in pre-Brexit, £50 more expensive now than last month.

I recently took delivery of a ZF V2 black from Puretime and have to say I am very impressed with it. I initially rejected the first watch on the basis that a couple of the hour markers seemed to have some adhesive showing between the marker and dial face in the QC photos. The second one was also rejected mainly due to the fact that the bezel insert was damaged and one of the hour markers at 5 was misaligned. I ended up accepting the third watch (although it was clearly the second one with a new bezel insert) despite the misalignment of the hour marker. You might ask why. The reason in a nutshell is that I took a gamble on the fact that something visible at 5-6 times maginification as per the QC photos would not be visible to the naked eye. The gamble paid off as you really can't see the hour marker defect with the naked eye. In conclusion my advice would be to look past the mega magnification the QC photos allow and ask yourself honestly if you can notice a defect at say 2 times magnification-if not go for it! I have 7 reps and a genuine Rolex GMT batman and I'm as happy with wearing the rep ZF V2 as I am with my gen Rolex and that is high praise indeed.

Any chance you would be able to post the flawed QC pics? I'm trying to train my QC eye. And they sent you magnified pics right from the start?

This would be helpful. I also just ordered from puretime and they are processing my order. Do i need to request QC pics? or will they send them automatically. This will be my first rep watch, so I want to make sure I get the most out of it.

They will send you QC pics whereas you have to accept or reject based on your findings.. Good luck!

Hi Mate,

You are buying a rep watch, there are flaws.....or you buy gen, very simple game !

Measurements are in grams

ZF:
V6:

so roughly 15 grams, or ~1/2 oz difference

Hi, sorry to bother, would you mind posting weight of just the watch head (or just the bracelet is fine) thinking about getting one of these to wear on rubber but the weight is very important to me.

This is my first order ever, and I just received QC pics from pure times for my Pelagos. To me they look pretty good, but I am very much a beginner in this regard. But, are they supposed to send lume pics as well? If anyone could assist me on my QC pics I would very grateful. I think it looks fine, but don't want to be missing anything significant.

You're just looking for wonky markers and the bezel not lining up. Otherwise the QC is OK is just the markers. I don't think you're allowed to post QC pics

As I mentioned before this is my first order and I just want to make sure I don't miss anything significant. I understand it is a rep watch and will not be flawless, but I want to ensure that all is in proper order for my first time. I read that we cannot post QC pics and ask abut general opinion, but we can point out specifics. Overall, I thought the QC pics I received were pretty good, but had a question on how the marker/bezel at 15/45 looked, to me it was misaligned. Sorry, i'm still learning and this is my first qc, but it may be fine. and forgive me for not explaining well. Thanks

Has anyone readjusted a bezel insert on a ZF? I'm getting a little bugged by my alignment being off.

Looks fine to me. Feel free to ask for lume pictures, I don't know about PT but I have asked for lume pictures and got them for qc before.

My Pelagos came in, and I'm quite happy. It is too big for my wrist and I will need to adjust it. I was thinking of switching to the rubber strap anyways. But does anyone have a good tool recommendation for this? I'd like to fix this, so I can start wearing this =)
