and this friends is why I am not at RWG. I choose not to associate with that website
and the ridiculous moronity there. that thread is a disgrace to them and shows how
that site is the absolute armpit or rather rectum of the rep forum world.

on a side note, I just lost all respect for Chris, aka 1010.

Thanks MMs.
FYI I must say that after the thread I have received in RWG a nice and friendly PM from above mentioned member

You are free to not be a member over at RWG but I and a hell of a lot of others are members of both sites. Calling the site what you have is an insult to us, and for your information some of the most knowledgeable and nicest people I have met in the rep world are members of RWG.

To label all of RWG for the actions of a few is wrong.

Rather harsh. There are some great folks over there...many of the same ones frequent both here and there..including TB.

wow the amount of ignorance in that thread is astounding...

Anyways thank you ale for pointing this out, much props. Personally i like to get the maximum accuracy in every one of my purchases (watches & whatever) and its good to know what to look out for. From a manufacturing standpoint, it is much more cost effective for them to use up the old style dials (if that was the case). Certainly unfair though since the 111n v3 was supposed to increase the accuracy in relation to gen.

I think the main point is that people are paying a premium for a Noob 111 V3 based on the premise that it is the most accurate replica available out of the box, and this flaw places it at a level closer to a H Factory or Beginner model that can be purchased for a lesser price.

I understand that replicas are all flawed in some way, shape, or form, but we tell our new members to do their research so that they can get the best replica for their money and this new development changes the value proposition for a Noob vs H Factory vs Beginner, so that's certainly something worth discussing for many people.

Beside the fact that all the hostility is really unwarranted, most of their criticisms are idiotic.

I get that, and you're being very diplomatic about it, which is admirable. But the things they're bringing up, like waterproofing and that "these are reps", "at least it works", suggest that they're either being purposefully obtuse or that they don't really understand how a great number of people approach this hobby.

But I know, the culture over there is a lot more rowdy, and that's fine, but if they can dish it out they should be able to handle being called out for being dumb.

"rectum of the rep forum world"? Because a number disagree with the importance of a flaw? Just you remember who admins that "rectum" buddy.

Look, not everyone is quite so anal over a number and even less so next door. There is no way I would have spotted that unless it was posted, I had to look at the pics twice as it was. If it worries some folk then fair enough but be honest, how many are going to notice? I doubt 98% of the gen owners would have noticed that, ask your self what Robert would have said and you may understand the reaction better.

And whether you like it or not I can tell you exactly how the owner of Noobfactory would react if this was brought to his attention. He would laugh and say something like "WTF are they on about?" The problem is that they sell 20 or 30 thousand of these a year and there is a handful of hundred owners who care about such things.

To me the main issue here is that it's not as advertised a fact I doubt any of the dealers even noticed.

Apparently there are also issues with the casebacks serial number , some were /2000 instead of /2500

You specifically no, I don't believe you were one of the ones chastising Ale for the informative post on RWG. My comment was a generalization of the way that RWG thread was headed.

sorry for the crude comment if it offended. :txrob::cheers:

Gentlemen (And ladies if any), i have read through the whole thread and while its initial purpose has now been distracted by a battle of slight semantics, i wanted to get back on the original topic and ask if this is a flaw across the board for 111 V3 Noob models or just a few of them/recent batch.

I ask because this is a watch i am planning on purchasing soon and would like to make a knowledgable choice when doing so. I see pictures from Angus and from ryan showing the correct 12/3/6. So is this something that we just need to watch for in the QC? And should we feel comfortable rejecting this watch if we see the QC shows the flaw?

** Also wanted to mention that this is a great catch, it is quite interesting with how much this watch has been talked about that this flaw has only come out now. Thanks Ale for continuing to provide us with all of this useful info.

Yes, a couple of :asshat:s makes the entire forum the rectum of the rep forum world....

Proof that every forum has it's knuckle heads :biglaugh:

Ugh, tell me about it. I was debating with that guy and I just wanted to come out and tell him he had the intelligence of a gnat with his ridicolous comments and his overuse of the word logic, but figured it would be in bad taste.

I think the issue here is not that it's a flaw in manufacturing. It's the factories using old stock dials in their 111n reps therefore making it inaccurate. Obviously the factories don't care about integrity, it's an illegal business afterall.

Thanks Ale for the catch and educating the community about what to watch out for. For those that feel indifferent about the dial, I am sure there will be a few in the sales thread in the coming weeks.
