Is there any dealer offering the fixed screw version in combination with a seagull movement?
Don't really want to pull the trigger on the PAM505 with 7750 when i read everywhere that the seagull is so much better in time keeping
Hi everyone, I've been following the forum religiously, and the information here is nothing less than amazing - which is why I have the Pam111v3 in my hand.
Hey ALE, great review on the watch, which makes me want to get both watches. Just wondering in your opinion, is the KW PAM505 a better rep than noob PAM292J?
This is my first question ever at the forum - looking forward to your response!
They are different concept of replicas
PAM 292 is more accurate because the ceramic material and the wieght is the same as gen and caseback is solid hiding the flaws of movement
PAM 505 is more difficult to copy because it is more complex with display caseback and "Manifattura" movement. Due to it is made of SS DLC coated, weight and material will be different from gen.
Therefore answering your question: PAM 292J is more accurate than PAM 505
ALE
As above said they are different concept and then it is no valid the comparison
PAM 292J is more accurate, almost the same as gen, but maybe overall finish and feel is better in PAM 505
Regarding use issues, both are reps and maybe crown cracks in 292 but maybe bridges of decorated movement can fall in PAM 505. This is a matter of luck, no rep is perfect
I repeat very different watches to make a comparison
I personally prefer KW PAM 505 in general regarding feel and appearance, although PAM 292 is closer to gen

As for the lug issues on rep rads, I just came across this on p.com. Seems like a solid solution. If kw and the other rep makers start doing this we may have resolved the lug issue on rep rads.

@ALE: can you start a sticky thread my friend with this? Its sort of a very useful tip, can't wait to try it over the weekend!
