This happened to a former colleague of mine. He was en expat in Mombasa. Reading the newspaper and having a coffee at a curbside cafe when a machete swinging madman copped his arm off and stole his watch. The arm was discarded and subsequent found. The watch was gone.

I’m sure this would be a possibility of the attack happened in a developed country. However in his case the arm was not reattached. The cut was just below the elbow,

This was in 2014. I’m not sure what kind of watch it was but I think it was a TAG or Breitling. No real value. In a internal memorandum we were all instructed not to wear any jewelry or watches when traveling as a result of this incident.

I see in the PT pics (on their website) that movement engraving now says 330, does it mean that it also has the hacking second feature that 330 has? I would be pleasantly surprised if that is the case, they probably just changed the engraving (but I hope I am wrong)
