I loved the 1616 and the 799 is just as great. The subtle differences make a huge difference imo and this is an absolutely stunning watch.
The lume is correct on the 799.
I posted some pics. Some side by side next to the 1616. I was especially trying to see how the dial photographed. The 1616 has this sort of metallic effect to it and I was trying to see if the 799 has it too. That’s why I took and posted pretty much the same pic side by side but with the order of the watches changed. To see if the effect of the dial changed relative to the angle of the light.
For such subtle changes, there is a big difference. I believe the dials are the same but on the 1616, because of the darker materials (the carbo tech case, the darker blue indices, and no rim on the outside of the blue on the markers) the dial pops more. While on the 799, because of the lighter accents, the “grain” of the Carbo tech bezel has more of a pop. Both stunning watches through.
