How will we know if we don't have a gen to compare...how...? Well, I'll live with it, I think it's a beautiful watch. No one cares about watches or knows a damn thing about them where I live, so it's OK. I was torn between this one and the 687, but the blue sunburst tipped me over to the 690. But I guess it's only a matter of days before I pull the trigger on that one too

The dial of the gen changes A LOT in different lights.
It goes black, than pure blue, then with a little hint of green, etc.
All the reps so far (ZF not included) has only a pure blue sunburst, wich is totally off.
You are right about most people don't care about them.

Just wait a few more days until I receive my 690 so I can tell you this.
They are completely different watches, and the 687 is just perfect

I have the SF. This blue in the ZF looks correct to me but not sure about sunburst.
