Pam 508 V6F

The datewheel is no problem. Very easy fix with this dial/movement construction. But the pearl looks strange.

The only issue for me is the pearl color. That's a deal breaker if it's not fixed. It's very ugly!

Pearl is not good in color shape and gloss. I notice some imperfections on the painted indices on the bezel (closer to the pearl).

Lume non matching between dial indices and hands looks similar to the gen pic I posted, so it might be right.
Dial inscriptions look nice to me.
CP looks very good.
15, 30, 45 numbers on the bezel look thinner than gen.

I like very much the bevel of bezel

CG looks great to me, the chamfering on the corners is evidently executed.
REG. T.M. is mayb a tad too big.

All in all the only real and evident issue (to me) is the pearl, I like this a lot already.
Hopefully the maker will fix it, along with the date alignment, ant it couldbe my next sub! :)

...and these hours' round indexes on bezel have bigger diameter than gen ones and are too flat.

They finally got the crownguard correct, unlike the 438.

The CG Lever Pin looks perfect. I am impressed. And as with the 438, I am sure the issues will be corrected before final release. Its almost like they post these things up weeks before they are finalized just to get some feedback.

I hope so, apart from the pearl the other things look minor to me. This could be a great release :)

pearl is disgusting. I'm excited, but currently still very disappointed. Would wait for a V2.

Someone on Risti (FB) posted this gen today. Perhaps that'll make the KW pearl look a little less "off" [emoji12]

PAM 438 ceramic has a perfect CG just the same as the PAM 508 CG

ALE

Hi ALE,

I completely respect your comment and understand your experience and obsession with pam reps especially. I dont know which 438 ur referring to, but the ones on PT are definitely different. Here are the picts.

Hi superfolex

My comments here are not to be respected but to be discussed (as always)

I admit on the pic you are showing the pin is completely different. But we are talking about the pics on catalogues, many times from prototypes. We would need to see the pics of the final product of both watches. No reason to have different CG for two ceramic watches with the same crown and the same maker

We will see. And your comments and comparisons about this regard will be welcome. But always from QC pics or owner's pics, please
Waiting for your final study

Hi ALE,

completely agree with you. I think since the 508 is the latter version, they finally learned how to make the CG's pin correct rather than its predecessor the 438 and 441, hence the different CG's. Hopefully they would update the 438's and 441's with the newer crown guard. Again, it might be pre-mature to even conclude that they have fixed this issue before QC's pictures as ALE mentioned, but the video on PT's site seems rather promising.

But to return to the topic of the 508's I think a V2 would be needed to fix the pearl, etc before I'd even consider purchasing it. Great developments so far though, very excited to see the updates.
