I have made this adjustment on other pams. The case is design has a typical screw down tube, but then you would be left with a gap between the tube and the case. This hex nut fills this gap and sets the spacing between the crown and case. To adjust the spacing, you have to remove the crown guard and crown/stem. Once those are out of the way, you can adjust that nut by pressing it with your thumb and turning. I don't think you need a special tool, but I would suggest removing the the nut and putting a little silicon grease on outer threads of the tube. Screw the hex nut to your desired depth--but take care not to leave too much space you're going to have an issue with winding and setting time and date. I am frankly not sure why adjusting the hex would effect water resistance--you just have to make sure that the gasket on the bottom of the crown makes good clean contact with the hex screw and you should be fine (use a little silicon grease on that crown gasket as well while you're at it.

Will this affect the water resistance of the watch? I also want to fix the crown position....

Finally raised the funds and pulled the trigger. QC recieved and approved from Sead, who also sourced the bronze buckle being advertised by a couple other TDs. Now I wait and decide if I have the balls to soak her in fruit juice and veggie paste as soon as she arrives...

Congrats!
I did bath mine in ketchup. Nothing wrong happened.
Yesterday I went to a watchsmith and did a pressure test. It cleared 5 ATM easily. Didn't want to go ahead and check it for 10 ATM though :)
But I guess that 5 ATM is enough of an insurance that water will not get into the case :)

But obviously, do it at your own risk :)

Anybody got ocassional death on the movement of this kw 382 ?
Aside from ocassional death, mine also have very low power reserve. I could easily say not more than 12-16 hrs from leaving the wrist...

I think it's a hole in the decorative plate that is not meant to have a screw in it, it's just there to "look" like gen :)

I agree with Kilowattore
There is a hole also in the gen bridge near this position

KW382 QC received today

So I was told by KW that they were sold out 2 weeks ago and a new batch would be available in a week. I waited and just today I received these QC pics. I read somewhere that Sead or someone stated KW was about to release a V2 - is this V2, who knows, KW didnt tell me there were any improvements. Anyways I would appreciate hearing feedback if anyone sees anything glaringly wrong or a reason I shouldnt approve? My first impression is that the pics are too dark and with poor color. Pearl looks white to me, but toomuch domed? Cnat tell if the 45 is crooked because of the angle. In any case, I am going to ask for brighter shots and to include straight on shots of the front, back, and CG
