PAM 288K

After being charged in the sunlight for a couple of hours, it managed to stay visible about 30 minutes in pitch black darkness. After that.....you have no idea what time it is in the dark.

Are you sure this watch is the lastest 288k? There are quite a few folks here who own one and they all talk about the great lume.

I have the latest 288K and to be honest, I'm not too impressed with the lume. And in another twist, my 111J, which everyone says the lume sucks on, glows very well.

You can't compare the sandwich dial from the 111J and the 288k's sausage dial. 2 very different things.

The 288k could be compared with the new 005k. I own the 005k but I've never seen the 288 in the flesh. Would anyone own both?

I own a gen 177, a rep of the 318L and another rep of the 288K.
The 177 is just a bit brighter (10% more maybe) than the other 2 after exposure to sunlight (wether it's for 30sec or 30min), I believe that it's due to the sandwich dial...
After 1 or 2 hours, the difference is the same, the 177 is a bit brighter, but the lume on the other 2 is equivalent...
After an 8 hours night the 177 still glow like a torch while the other 2 glow much less.
But still after a night I'd say that the 318 and the 288 glow more than a standard rep lume, that you would have taken to sun light for 10min.
Both of those rep are really impressive and very equivalent lume wise.

haudi8596, I've got a 005/318k, and the lume on it is pretty damn good for a rep, so considering what Boudart just told us, if yours is very weak maybe it's not the new version. Or you have very high expectations

Most likely, one of the older model, they were not that bad either except for the lume...

The lume on my 288K isn't as good as the lume on my 005K.

It's weird, because Boudart also does and he seems to say the lume on both watch is quite similar.

I've owned both the 288k & 005, and I think they are both the same, the 005 might seem a little stronger only because the numbers are larger on the dial. I would have done a comparison, but Qq now has my 288k.

Hello All,
I recently purchased a pam 288k from a member. I was told this model was superlumed which does not seem that super to me. I am not sure how long or bright the lume should glow. It glows bright for about 2 minutes then nothing. Not even in pitch black. Kinda dissappointed. Also the deployment buckle will not stay closed. Anyone with a 288k with same issues? Other than that the watch seems really nice. It has the croc strap that was Also this is my first PAM.

Mine glows bright but doesnt stays long ... probably 5 mins after 1 min of charging using car headlight...

As for your deployment buckle... think its spoilt ... u should clarify this issue with the seller if its recently bought ...

Thanks for all of your advice and input. The 288K is my first pam rep. With that being said, what are some models you guys could recommend that do have strong lume from trusted sellers?
