I have it on good authority that RWG is going to incorporate a section on Midgets to combat the success of RWI.

Theres no place like this on the web, its seriously one of a kind. We have it all here advise, pics, dumbasses, opinions, everything. Once we add the freedom to post artful porn we will dominate all watch forums. 8)

You'd be surprised what you are missing. Sure each board has the same main theme and content, its what not on the beaten path that is what's interesting.

i agree with this... I am constantly going between RWI and RWG.... thank God for tabbed browsers...

My 2 cents worth.

It is very hard being a newbie with a number of good Rep site to float around in. What catches our attention is the attitudes both good and bad.

If one floats around here and actually reads some of the posts that they are not interested in then it does a couple of things.

1. It may create interest in a brand or model or in modding itself.
2. You very quickly realize that there is a difference in members attitudes on the different boards and it is quite easy to determine which places have the GOB's clubs.
3. Smart newbies land here because the attitude is a healthy one and the membership shows this. Forums that have members that knock other members or dealers or modders because of some petty bias tend to lose members that want to participate but can't make it their sole hobby due to work or family.

In very short order, I was able to determine that this was the right board for me. It doesn't mean that I won't go to other boards but this membership here is helpful and without attitude to us newbies. I have made some new friends and for me, that's a definite plus. I have been able to rekindle old friendships with people I like and respect and that is worth any amount of donation.

We all love watches and cars and girls and boys and great attitudes are infectious.

I am sitting in my home office looking out my window at a beautiful Hot Air balloon and it's nice to know that I would rather be here on this forum than up there with strangers.

Sorry to be so verbose but good people with like interests are hard to find and that makes you all quite valuable.

Thank you for being!

OK that was about a $1.31

I agree 100% , I enjoy friends on both RWI and RWG. Each time I log into RWG and post and converse I fell like I'm on vacation. It is a different atmosphere but that does not make it bad / good.. (for me it is good) it is just different.

Having been around for quite some time on all the forums, one thing that I have noticed is that members seem to grow an undivided loyalty towards a specific dealer or modder. Its not necessarily a bad thing, but they do seem to put the blinders on just because they have a relationship. Yes, RWG is a little harder on its dealer/modders, but I can promise you that it has never been without reason. The staff and senior members at RWG really have the best interests of the membership at heart, and when shoddy workmanship or corrupt sales practices are uncovered, they are dealt with. Over the years there have been many "fly by night" modders that have done absolutely terrible work, and they have been called out on it. Photo's don't lie, and when you are charging a premium price for the service, the results should reflect it.

Remember, it was on RWG where the "Little white lies" thread started, and I'd like to think that the fallout from that fiasco has affected the way all dealers represent their products today. Look at Josh and Andrew's beautiful SuperOcean Heritage. Would it have been listed with an "Asian ETA Clone" if not for that thread? RWG was also the proving ground for such things as aftermarket AR, as both Jacob and Cheiftang started their businesses there.

To knock RWG is nothing but disrespectful. Remember that many of the "positives" in the rep community today only exist because of the battles that were fought and won at RWG.

But what is funny Andreww.. is that no matter how much you try to protect someone from scam artists..etc..... you cannot protect people from themselves and their use of problem people.. .... and this is how problem modders/ problem dealers/ and other problems gain momentum.

RWG and RWI are allies, gone are the days where we have divided interests....
We are far stronger together than separate.

I started this thread not on the intention of knocking RWG...In fact, I was a member of TRC and RWG way before I joint RWI...And I probably spent the same amount of time on both in the past year...

It was just that I wan not happy with the recent change a few days ago that the general members were locked out of a lot of the sections including reviews, modding, knowledgy base, etc...But, looks like the Admin there has corrected it now...

Happy rep collecting everyone.... 8)

To echo something I said in a different thread (that was eventually derailed by talk of midgets, if I'm not mistaken), if you decide to bash one forum (be it RWI, RWG, or RG), you are essentially insulting every single person that frequents that forum. And since there is just a high degree of overlap in membership between all the forums, you are--more likely than not--insulting those members directly to their faces.

I'll give you two particularly relevant examples. After a long absence, By-Tor is posting here at RWI again. By-Tor is a mod over on RWG. So if you bash RWG over here, you're doing so in front of one their moderators. By the same token, D4M, Taka, Dizzy, and Legend of Speed (who are all RWI administrators and Mods) routinely post over on RWG. So before you start talking about how much you hate one forum, think about who your audience is.

And Tutima-- just to clarify, I never thought you were blasting RWG. I interpreted your post in, I think, the way you intended it.
