Hi guys, this thread pushed me towards ordering both the silver and red dial.. silver for the wife, red for myself
QC's approved, both on their way as we speak.. (y)

King OP's came in yesterday. Impressed i must say. Having tried on the gen (Blue) last year, the look and even feel is very very close. Bezel and crystal (height and sheen) combo is what sets it apart from the 'others'. The polished hour indices and raised plots, specifically on the red dial really stand out and make it pop. The silver dial not my preferred color but still a looker.
The SEL fitment also unlike i've ever seen on any rep. Movement and winding smooth like butter so far ..
Overall great purchase from Andrew once again.

I bought one just like yours @johnlogan. Yours looks gorgeous! It was in the end of January or so and I just remembered it now that I saw your post. Sent and email to puretime to know how the order's going.

Visually the KING is amazing. The brushing, the dial, bezel, crown, movement all feel very GEN. However, the bracelet is a tad flimsy and not as per GEN. You feel it right away. KING could easily update the bracelet with just a tad fatter bracelet screws in order make the bracelet feel more “firm”.

On the wrist however you will never be called out.

Have you already tried the good old babyoil bath with the bracelet? Maybe this can help out. I want to pull the trigger on this watch, but bracelet quality is a big deal for me.

This! Oil bath done for both, huge difference.
Bracelets came in very rigid/firm, silver dial bracelet felt a bit more flimsy compared to the red which was odd to me, thinking maybe different batches. Still firm tho.
Disassembled all the screwed links. To my surprise very clean as well as the rest of the bracelet. Gave 'm a wash anyway prior to the oil treatment.
I do think the edges are a tad bit too sharp, the gen felt sharp as well but not as.. Will be softening them up soon..

The issue is the tolerances within the joints. Oil bath isn't going to change that. For example if you tap the clasp it makes a noise. Personally I'm not bothered by it as the rest is excellent.

It's likely the noise is coming from the large flat clasp bayonets. You need to identify the spot where two bracelet pieces are touching. Then place a piece of tape - bracelet tape works well but it's yellow or two layers of shipping tape also works. Also a cell phone film square. A very small square or rectangular piece of tape in the exact spot of contact will deaden the noise to nearly imperceptible. I've done this a few times, pretty soon you completely forget about it.

Anyone ordered the Tiffany one? It's my favourite colour. I'm hoping to see some real life pictures, as I believe it's still a good tone. The first pictures were in a weird light

Would love to see a Tiffany dial of the appropriate color for an easy change out...

Even with a baby oil bath the bracelet is a far cry from GEN. It looks great but the top tier raw materials are not there. However I don’t discourage anyone from buying this piece as it’s a great watch!
