I'd like to buy a a OP 41. So, for your experience, you suggest King or GMF V2 ?
Thanks

Replica oblivion…
If you don’t mind the over fed bezel, GMF is an excellent choice.

I have the GMF V2 with the 2824 and it’s been a great watch with smooth winding and good time keeping, solid and reliable.

Just be aware that GMF is now JDF… the JDF stuff is a lot more expensive as they use the VR movement and likely 904l steel compared to 316 on the King. ( even though it’s stickered as 904 ). Unsure on this but it likely explains the pricing…

Also I believe King factory is also the old WF factory anyways ? So they have been a round for a while as a mid tier rep factory.

Hi,

In terms of quality which factories are better to aim for Rolex reps or does it differ per model? I read that VSF were good, but not sure about others.

Thanks for your help.

Hi, welcome to RWI.
There's no clear-cut answer, ech factory specializes on some models, each factory will have different flaws. VSF and Clean are good options for a number of Rolexes, but not necessarily all. If you look at Daytonas there's also BTF, for example. Or, BP factory for instance is considered a mid-tier one, but they do the best explorer 1 in my opinion. EWF is considered even lower than BP, but they do some decent reps for the price.
Research is key to select the one that suits you best, i.e. with the flaws you can live with. To this end, you can use the search bar or google, by adding RWI to your query.

Thanks @Feefo good to be here.

I have been trying to find and read as much info as I can and was reluctant to ask the common questions that must get repeated over and over.

My main interest is a 41mm DateJust but I also like the OP 41mm. I understand there is no 1 factory that wins overall. Any additional advice would be appreciated, otherwise I will keep reading and looking ;)

Well then, for the DJ and the OP you'll be looking at VSF or clean. Although for the OP there are a couple of good cheaper options, too. This KING doesn't look bad, either. Keep in mind that the importance of a flaw to you is directly proportional to your ocd. I'm completely happy with my BP OP (albeit 36mm).
When you decided, look at Supermirror's section, he has UK stock and since the DJ 41 is quite popular there's a good chance he has them on stock there, minimizing your shipping/custom seizure risk.

Thanks @Feefo for the advice. Yep I have just been reading VSF or Clean for DJ and I will make note of your comments for OP (GMF or KING).

OK, will check out Supermirror. Are the prices similar to what you would pay a TD +shipping in USD? Like you say, you avoid the customs risk too!

Instead for the 36 version I read well about GMF, e.g. KING does not produce it, does anyone have any advice or considerations on this?

Thanks ;) was literally just reading that!

I have been looking for a datejust 41mm two tone everose gold with sundust (silver) dial but with oyster bracelet (a lot of the reps I have seen come with Jubilee). I have messaged a few TDs with no response (I am thinking this because of CNY) but Andrew / trustytime has been very responsive and said he can source the watch from GMF with the oyster bracelet.

is the GMF version of 36mm not good?
It's fine, it's definitely well built and reliable, but depending on the color you're getting, the dial won't be close to gen.
In my particular case, the Coral Red on my BPF (they use the same dial as the GMF because they're the same factory) is flat and boring, and on the gen it's nice and shiny as it's enamel finished, and to me, the whole point of getting an OP is because of the dial.

I am considering green, it is a pastel color and I don't think there is any particular difference. I've seen pictures here on the forum and they looked good, but maybe I'm wrong
