Ah nuts, not how I'd read it but looking at it again I can see how it could go either way.

That's a shame. Read something else yesterday saying that only the first batch (with the short) minute hand is still available, guess I'll be waiting for a newer version of this one then.

Well I have just ordered one from Ryan. He says it's available with correct hand length. I guess I will find out in the QC pic soon.

Anybody with this black ceramica please help me with this... The bezel easily unscrews for cleaning but then how waterproof is it from many times removing? And how would you easily remove dust particles from the dial?

How many times do you expect you'll need to clean dust out of it? That's one of the things QC pics are for, to check there isn't any dust under the crystal. Just because you can remove it doesn't mean you should.

Maybe 30 times a year jk. But just asking in case it does happen. I have seen people use a putty to remove lint. Where can I buy one?

Just for clarification, it was this post I'd read.

Marv has replied back after contacting the factory - short minute hand 438 is the only version currently available.

Hopefully Ryan comes through for you. Please let us know, this watch is close to the top of my (ever growing) shortlist so would be nice for me if the proper length hands are still available...

I saw this discussed. I still don't really believe it is an issue. The 5s look odd but from what I saw of the gen, it seemed the same to me.

Data wheel isn't an issue for me really but I will let you know when I get it.

I have one of these already from the 1st batch and I can honestly say the date wheel font was not an issue in the slightest. This is coming from a guy who bought another one because of the hand length!

Most issues seem fixed. Cp looks good. Hands are right length and dare I say it! The ar is much improved over my 1st batch watch.

The date wheel number 5 looks fine to me too but then my 1st watch was good anyway.

Six months on the wrist, 438 became my daily beater. Ceramic is outstanding quality, in so many ocasions if I'd be wearing ss Pam I'd be crying about the scratches. 438 might seems like badly nicked but suprisingly wipes right off:

I'm always worried about the bezel on these. I believe they are not ceramic but PVD metel. By the looks of your one it seems impressively hard wearing.

500 usd is a small price to pay.

Quite frankly, I bought it with abuse in mind. To some extent of course. Ive heard stories about how forgiving and undestructable the gen is so I wanted to give rep a shot as well. I can assure all of you my Tuttonero pulls through toughest regimes on the shooting range drills, outdoor training and everyday clumsiness. All I need to do is wipe it off in the end. I wouldn't do it to any of my otber reps. Only my Suunto Core takes more beating.

It is light like Titanium and it is very warm. But 508 is massive even made of ceramic

Can't really complain about the ceramic as I wear mines daily on orloff black croco

one thing tho, the AR sucks and it reflects like crazy. I also heard gen is terrible AR too.
