I'm really confused about the second hand.... not being white is/was considered to be a major flaw on the rep. Personally, I think the white second hand doesn't fit the look of the piece at all and the hand being silver is a much better look. Was the hand white from the very beginning on this piece? I was looking at this video review and I'm seeing silver.... or is it?

Thanks! Yeah, I guess my confusion was that I didn't realize the watch in the video he was holding up first was one of the bi-metal models. Interestingly though I found a pre-release video/review of the watch where the watch did have a silver sweep second... reviewer stating it was going to be changed to the white one when it goes in to production.

Looking at those videos makes me feel tempted to get the gen of this watch. I think the SM300, Spectre or standard model is beautiful which the rep has nicely replicated. Really love the look of my Spectre, thus tempted for a gen. But I'm seriously saving up for the gen blue Aqua Terra which is essentially my grail...hmmm...

I believe the Aqua Terra is much mooooore beautiful watch so stick to it lolol! By the way the SM300 rep has more vivid dial color than the gen, I was not impressed when saw the gen after having the rep for some time

Really? I saw the gen a few days ago and thought the dial looked way better than the rep. Must've been the shop lighting.. Haha.. Before this, I never really paid attention to it at the boutique, not till I got the Spectre rep, did I appreciate the gen SM300 even more. I love how the lume is filled into the recessed hour markers on the gen. The rep is sandwiched, but still very nicely done.

Yes, no doubt the AT is beautiful. But there is plenty to love for the simplicity of the SM300 which has a mixture of both modern and classic feel to it.

Well the dial is not better by any means just the color selected for the gen dial markers and hands is just too pale for my taste.. I now have the Bond Aqua Terra coming my way [emoji868]

Is it just me, or the rep dial is much more clear than the gen?
I have been looking at the pics and it`s dial seems more clear grey, and it`s surface more plain, while the gen is more dark black, and has a more asperous surface.
I noticed this specialy in pictures taken from the side and with direct light, I think (gen pics never get this effect). Is that true to the naked eye, or just a effect got from the pictures?

Thanks in advance

The rep dial is smoother. Apparently I read somewhere about how the the Gen dial is ceramic, bead blasted to give it texture and material is removed by laser at the indices and filled with lume, as compared to the rep, which looks like a sandwich costed metal dial.

This is correct. The gen dial is indeed a textured ceramic with the lumes filled in to the laser cut hour markers.

I got one on the way, just approved QC pics. Looks great in the pics, especially the lume which looks like it may be a improved version, most on this thread seem to show it all being the same colour lume.

Not massively fussed if the lume is really bright but maybe they have improved it.

I just prefer the look of it over the spectre one, the bezel insert, I am not so keen on the lollipop second hand and prefer the dial on this version with the 12.
I like them both but decided that this one was the one for me, both were pretty much the same price so it came down to preference.
Now that the v2 of the spectre is out there really isn't anything in terms of quality to separate them.
