i emailed both toro and ryan but only ryan told me about the new version and advice me to wait for it. Toro currently has stock for v1.

Forgive the noob question but why did the v1 have such a poor lume when it is easy to reproduce on other models

hi all,
i'm new here..i'm interested with the spectre version at first..then decided to save money to buy it. unfortunately, wifey reject the idea to spend that much money for a watch
so i was looking for the alternative, until i found this forum and decided to pull trigger with the rep of this 300 co-axial. i just have few questions if you guys don't mind to answer relate to this watch :
- do we need to have it in regular service ? like once in 2 years..
- if the movement is broken, is it replaceable ? or we have to send it for repair with the TD ?

If it aren't spoilt, don't fix it.
It uses miyota 8215, u can get it off eBay or any other watch part suppliers to replace the old one.

I'm not sure what the differences are, but the v2 is supposed to be v2 of seamaster 300 master co-axial (not the spectre version). Really excited to see what are some of the changes! can't wait to own one for xmas!

Oh ok. All the while we keep hearing about a v2 of the Spectre model. This is the first I'm hearing a v2 of the regular SM300... Pretty confusing. All nothing but rumours afaik. Won't believe it till I see V2's of either one selling...

I'm in a process of buying SM300 from toro. Got QC-s, but a little dissatisfied with the lume picture. Can you please comment other details? Also if it would be good idea to maybe wait for the v2 to solve lume issue?

The watch is very nice, especially on vintage brown leather.
However, the lume is extremely poor.
Have not heard of a V2.
But the SPECTRE model has ok lume from what people are posting.
Wrote a follow up email to Ryan but he hasn't gotten back about the v2. Probably delayed. I couldn't wait too and went ahead to order a v1 from toro. Oh wells.. I think everyone's waiting for a 9015 version in the current case with superlumed.
