The lollipop hands is totally interchangeable. If you happen to have that rep on your hands. Due to the movement, I believe it will not fit a gen hand.

As for the dial, it is a chalk Matt black coloured dial sandwiched with a white metal plate that has lume applied at the selected positions that are lined up with the cut outs of the black dial. Both are held together with glue.

In the process of exploring my watch, I damaged the second hand. The hour and minute hand has a little smudge that I can't seem to clean off with a microfibre towel. I made a mistake of not wearing finger cots for the first time. They are a absolute must.

As for the movement holder /bracket. It has some pins that are super small and a pain to screw back. I will strongly advise any watch amateurs to not fiddle with the dial.

Hope that helps!

Btw this is my bashed sm300

Received my seamaster 300 over the weekend. Looks nice, but bracelet feels very light and cheap. Not sure if that's how the gen feels, similar to the old hollow Rolex bracelets. Lume lights up on the hour markers and the minute hand , but is almost non existent on the hour and second hands.

Has anyone gotten theirs relumed and if so, where?

I haven't got mine relumed. My lume is fine, it actually becomes faint quickly but stays that way for the most of the night.

Totally agree with the bracelet feeling cheap. I reckon it's because of how the links are connected. Using a pin, secured by 2 screws at both ends, hence more rattling. I have not tried on the Gen, but understand that they use the same pin and screw method. Perhaps lower gap tolerance? Any one with Gen bracelet willing to share their 2 cents?

I think that's a big no in the rep community. Haha even then I don't think you can get a good feel of the bracelet because they are always wrapped in plastic in the boutiques. Need an owner owner to review for us!

Haha! I do own a gen 2254 seamaster that came with the speed master style bracelet, and that one definitely feels much sturdier.

Mine turned up today, delighted with it. Bracelet was a bit of a pain to resize as I needed to remove a fair few links and those little screws are awkward but apart from that great. Toro even sent a nato with it.

Lume seems pretty good to

With 22mm NATO strap. Accidentally ordered too wide, but managed to install and looks great.

My few criticism for the watch:

-Lume is weak in some batches
-Lume is too yellow or orange
-bezel/case alignment in rare few pieces (mine included)
-Bracelet feels cheap, unlike most reps
-first link after SEL is not well finish (this is significant because of the long and straight lugs that makes the SEL and the first link folds at almost 90 degrees exposing the inner finishing)
-the 8215 movement with the stuttering second hand (known issue with all watches using the same movement)

Hope to see a v2/v3 or sorts soon?

bleh can't help but feel disappointed with mine. TD didnt give me lume pictures like I asked either. Probably just sell mine off in M2M at a small loss. Never even wore it out of the house. Just resized it and felt disappointed and left it alone.

May I ask which TD did you get yours from?

Does anyone know if it would be possible to drop a higher beat movement into these?

GEN wristie @ my local AD.

Guys,
I really need your help.
I haven't bought a REP for the sake of not ripping it apart and doing heavy aging and mods in years.
But this one and especially the Spectre version has caught my eye.
The GEN is heavy well finished as it should feel and look.

It looks like our TD's have really done a great job with the decorations on their movements and such.

DOES the seconds hand SHUTTER and SKIP on your REP SM300?

I've read here on RWI the Spectre version does. DOES it do it on this model too?

I own a two-tone coin edge Invicta Sub.
It has a Miyota movement and it's fabulous. No skipping or shuttering of the seconds hand.

So what's the deal with the SM300? Does it SHUTTER and SKIP like the lollipop hand Spectre too?

Thanks guys!

Mine does stutter, though it's not as noticeable, and does not skip. The rep does not feel solid, and the bracelet feels cheap.

The decoration plates are nice but one thing that's diff is the balance wheel. Gen are black in colour.

I wouldn't recommend for anyone looking to get a high quality replicated version of the watch, but do get it if you're only after the look. Yes I regretted getting mine but still know plenty of rwi members who are happy with theirs.
