I don’t really understand the question. Spongebob said he would need to weld something so the moonphase with crystal would fit?@poseidon. any idea please?
Vvs and spongebob aren’t the same. Sw and stock should have the same construction

Nah, I'm happy with that as well, it's just a very different watch to the 5712 and my personal preference is for the 5712.Thanks so you are not that happy with AP26240? I want to get full gold plating etc and any other mods I can ..
OME translated ad says “dial structure is the same as the original. The screws are locked into the dial feet. The scale is polished and kept regular without deformation”I don’t really understand the question. Spongebob said he would need to weld something so the moonphase with crystal would fit?

No idea what scale polished and and kept regular without deformation means.@poseidon. any idea what does that mean?
Who is your watchmaker? If you dont mind sharingNo idea what scale polished and and kept regular without deformation means.
But i understand the previous part, ppf has the dial glued on and the gen one has screws. My watchmaker actually put in screws without any problems when he serviced the watch for me
Thank you @poseidon. and please excuse my naivety. Could you clarify what your watchmaker screwed the dial onto?No idea what scale polished and and kept regular without deformation means.

There are holes and everything for screws on the movement and sw dial but they just glue it on for cost cutting reasons i guess. And gen is probably the same construction, many have already put a gen dial on a ppf watch. I can’t think of any reason why the dial would be damaged by doing thisThank you @poseidon. and please excuse my naivety. Could you clarify what your watchmaker screwed the dial onto?
My understanding is that the dial is typically secured to the movement via small metal feet (protrusions on the dial’s underside) that slot into corresponding holes on the movement. The movement, with the dial attached, is then screwed into the case using case clamps or screws. Is this the same structure used in the genuine 5712?
Could it be that the SW dial being fragile and prone to damage if screwed directly to the movement rather than using adhesive?
I am from Switzerland, if you still need his info dm me. Sending your watch from outside would be too riskyWho is your watchmaker? If you dont mind sharing

Makes sense. Popup installed an SW dial onto my 5711. When I took the watch to my watchsmith, he was surprised that the dial was glued onto the movement which was unnecessary and created some extra work for him. I guess it's common practice to cut corners and just glue the dial in place. There are holes and everything for screws on the movement and sw dial but they just glue it on for cost cutting reasons i guess. Often the dial feet don't align correctly with the rep movement so some or all of the feet need to be removed. Usually double sided tape is used to adhere the dial to the movement.Makes sense. As far as I know the newer batch of OME’s have their indices fixed which were a problem before. They were uneven. Recent QC pics I have seen seem they have fixed that issue or atleast minimized itI have placed an order for an OME 5712 and have the option of a V1 now or V2 waiting a couple of weeks + 40 USD (which I don’t mind about).
so, since I am much more ignorant than most people here, my questions are:
1.Is the only difference between V1 and V2 the plates in the movement (big jewel and C shape hole ) or is the movement itself different?
2. Are other parts of the watch different as well (case, dial, hands, moon disk, bracelet)?
Many thanks for your help
I ordered mine as well... And I was told the new version will have updated plates... rest I am not sureI have placed an order for an OME 5712 and have the option of a V1 now or V2 waiting a couple of weeks + 40 USD (which I don’t mind about).
