Could anybody say, how durable is plop's ultimate's bezel lock button is? And is it possible to fix if it fails?

As per his request, I wont post any shots (unless there's a real problem later of course), but I must say I'm quite satisfied with what I'm seeing!!
Being a cheapskate, I ordered the $148.00 Asian movement, on the orange rubber strap.
The dial is excellent, WITHOUT those dreaded "happy feet", and the caseback even has a serial# etched in...
The only differences I can see between this model, and the more expensive ones is: Single piece caseback, Asian movement, and a non functioning bezel release button....I haven't seen enough detailed pics of the clasp to determine which version it is, but I'm pretty sure I can handle whatever mods that are needed to make it function OK...
As soon as it arrives, I'll post some pics, and give my opinion, FWIW...
I have been wanting one of these ever since I saw Cousteau wearing one back in the '70's at Mario's Restaurant in Westport, but the only reps available until last year those Viet made fakes that sold for big bucks to fools on ebay...
Now that this generation of reps has "settled down" price wise, to where it should be, it's time!!

My clasp is officially pissing me off. So much so that I'm disinclined to try the mod...I'm contemplating just buying a V2 clasp/strap.
I've had the V2 clasp/strap - it's no better. I had to pull it apart and mod the springs on that one too.

Well that's just no good. I guess I'm going to put it in the box for a few days to let my frustration ebb, then break out the dremel and do some clasp work.

I don't hate it, but I definitely don't love it. Maybe I'll give it a shot sometime in the future, I dunno. But I'd have to reuse the clasp anyways, don't I?
Well only if you want the omega logo on it. I have a mesh from suppaparts, which comes with a clasp, but my Ploprof has not arrived yet.
I will post comments on it once it arrives.

Well I can almost join the Ploprof club...
Just ordered a White Ultimate SWISS Plo on black rubber from Andrew, now the wait begins. I can just count on not having it on my wrist until the end of April or beginning of May because soon as I get it, its getting shipped directly to PBdad for some lume craziness and full waterproofing.
I ordered my mesh here, and plan on using the rep clasp (after modifying the springs with Bic springs)

hmmm...maybe there's a way to retrofit the part of the clasp that's branded onto the part of the (mesh) clasp that actually works? Who knows, maybe I'll give the mesh a shot sometime soon...it just isn't really my style right now, but then again the Ploprof itself wan't really my style until a few months ago

Had a quick play, not sure if they are any good though!
