Well, I do love Cartier watches and I have always thought the Ballon Bleu rep was pretty spot on but I find that watch too "girly" for my taste. It has a feminine style. No insult to those who like it, it's just my personal feeling about the design. It's a beautiful watch though.

Therefore I never bought it and it's hard to say if it's a super rep. From the pics it looks like it does not have major flaws.

Generally speaking, I find it very hard to tell a very good rep from a gen only using pics from TD's.

Side to side review on RWI help a lot have a much better idea on how gen-like a rep can be.

As far as I am concerned, I believe it's necessary to have had both watches in your hands to really tell the difference. Besides the visual aspect, there is a feel about reps that is sometimes quite different from the gen. Flaws are not always obvious in pics.

Never owned the Ballon Blue so couldn't say, although it looks great in the photos. But Santos XL is definitely one of the best reps ever made

Watch are becoming better and better, why watch boxes are not ? I see puretime added watch boxes years ago.. Maybe now there much better quality ones on the market ?

Well, why would one want a rep watch box anyway? The only reason I keep my gen boxes is for maybe selling the gen watches one day, but that would of course not be necessary for the reps. So?

Mine sit in their boxes on my desk. I can understand wanting boxes that look as good as the watches for display purposes.
Of course, I don't have 50 or 60 watches like some folks do.

Yep many ways to use a good rep box. Nice to have them for display purposes. But why no-one makes them good quality, or maybe i dont know where to look for ?
