Sometimes they do it on purpose to mislead rep makers.

.... but may be it is the Italian version of the dial :hehehe:

The font used on Rolex’s website is WRONG. Check out any pic you can of actual 116500s, not renderings. That font was never used on ceramic daytonas.

....I’ve seen enough of them

Nearer than you think
Why deny the evidence? I invite you to visit Rolex.com and you will realize that the pic of the dial I posted is that of a 116500.

Please, if you don't know what you are talking about, just don't talk.

If you already reached your truth, there is no reason to ask for other people's point of view.

Just know that you are wrong, the font is not correct.

All of the pics that you shared are actually not pictures of watches or dials, they are 3D rendering so while this may seem paradoxical, official websites are not always the best source when it comes to genuine pictures. Best is to Google or check on chrono 24 for Real pictures for example

Looks like an ARF dial to me, due to the thick rim around the border of the dial. This is the part your modder has to shave of by 1mm to make it fit the SA4130 (besides clipping the feet).

Yeah bro, it’s a V2 ARF dial, have correct subdial?

Hi mate, I am not absolutely sure as there are thinner and thicker versions around. In my Hybrid I have an ARF dial from the end of 2019 and my subdials appear minimally thicker to me. In the 3 o´clock subdial the 10 in my dial is a hair further apart from the border of the subdial. But it might just be the angle in your Picture.

Maybe the experts can give their opinion.

However the dial is beautiful and the best option you have, no matter if minimally to thick or thin. No one will notice.

Yes this is a common problem on the Rolex Website. Look at the renderings of the 116503 Two Tone Daytona. On their Website it also has the narrower font of the 116500, while in reality it is the more spaced out font of the 116520.

Considering this the font of the Noob 116503 might pass as Gen. If you want to pull of your 116503 as Gen (not recommended by me to do anyway) you just tell the guy: go watch the Rolex Homepage and you will see it is the same printing ;)

It is an ARF dial with the correct Sub-dial thickness.

Some had Sub-dials that were slightly thinner than Gen and some had Sub-dials that were the same thickness as Gen.

It all depends on what matters to you. the Print is better on arf bit the new v4 seem to have better subdials correct size and thickness. So an easier swap is v4 no mods needed the arf requires a lil work to make it fit

Answers like yours are completely useless and are only made to annoy
Answers like Tobel's, as well as being polite, are useful and help to understand. I never imagined that an official site like "Rolex" could publish wrong information. Tobel instead was able to explain something I did not know and I thank him for it.
