why you didnt put the Ceramic bezel which is more suitable for that dial ?

Because I prefer the 116520 and the minor difference in font spacing for ROLEX doesn't bother me one bit. It's like I worry someone's running around with a chart of the 28+ dial variations of the 116520 :xd:

Go gen dial for €2000 only to have the font spacing 0.5mm closer, nah. that's borderline

of course you are happy and that is what counts, but since you are showing off in a forum you might be prone to being asked. Of the 28 iterations you showed only one looked very similar to the dial of your watch and it's the only one with ceramic bezel...

All other 27 of them with steel bezel have a totally different font for ROLEX

But again, you are happy and that's what counts..

PS: ARF dials cost a tenth of a gen

Some light reading :search:

https://forum.replica-watch.info/for...-116520-116500

Halfway into it mentions modding etc.

But all about what you, and only you, are happy with.
You're the one who has to look at it at the end of the day.

Well wear & enjoy.

Hi man, thanks!
After reading most of the pages here, I found that it is suggested to change the gasket to have a better feel is it?
Is there any information where I could get or buy one? and how to change it?

Can we change it ourself? or I need a mooder?

Any advice is much appreciated! thanks so much!!

I think you misread my tonality, I simply wanted to explain my thought process.

I get that it’s only the ceramic dial that’s 1:1, my point is that someone would have to have memorised all the variations to notice that or have the chart at hand to compare. It’s not a real life applicable scenario.

ARF dial would require case work and also moving the dial feet both of which are quite the challenge for the possible reward.

We are all different, I choose not to worry about minuscule stuff like if the R is above the T 0,5mm to the left or right. With that being said I have the utmost respect for those who have the energy to do so.

Very welcome Sir, saw the other thread and thought it could help ya :)

But gonna have to tap out here & hopefully members far wiser than myself will jump in and assist you.

Have you checked out the Modification / tech section, could well be answered there already?

https://forum.replica-watch.info/forum/tech-section

I myself just utilise the knowledge/experience on here, but my technical knowledge is near zero I'm afraid, so I know when to tap out to avoid misinforming :eek:hwell:

Best of luck

I bought the gasket and changed it myself. The gasket cost almost nothing, a crystal/bezel press and a bezel remover were both cheap too, the whole job cost less than £30 and is relatively easy to do.

Here you go..

I have been waiting months for this, ordered it back beginning of March, just arrived today.. 519 dial! Now have all the parts needed to do this mod.. dial, gasket and crown. Got all the kit ready to go too.

There was a guide a few pages back I'll need to try find?

The dial is a thing of beauty!

Complete..

I followed these guides to remove the movement and bezel, took me a couple hours, was a bit fiddly, but done and I'm very pleased!

Changing the crystal gasket is a must. subaddict I don't know where you are located, but if you're in the EU, I strongly recommend Nikz19

Guys. what do you think of the v4 crown? when you open or spin it hows the feel?
Mine one I think is really bad, it seems like there's friction all around when I opened the crown. Is this normal in rep?

cause I compare it with my gen sub, it feels totally different.
haha, sorry for newbie question

Try to clean it with toothpaste… if that doesnt help, than full service will help if you want… mine crown after service is solid and buttery smooth

Is the winding itself smooth or does the friction continue even then? The machining of the crown or tube could be slightly mismatched and cause friction, but if it does not continue while winding, it probably is not a problem.

winding is smooth as butter.
Only when opening the crown, it feels heavy and "frictioned", you can feel like there is two steel being rub together, haha

Is there any way to fix this? I tried to clean with toothbrush as Robi01 suggest, but it doesnt make much different..

Put a few tiny drops of watch oil onto the winding threads. That's what I do for all my crown threads. Hope it will solve your problem.

Another thought is that your winding stem might be a fraction too long causing this problem.
