You don't see any new flaws to replace the bezel lume problem? I just cannot believe that we'd get a release that is spot-on.
Sure. Give me a loupe and 10 minutes and we can do a PowerPoint on flaws. But from arm's length it's top notch. The inner bezel font was one of those easy tells. It's now gone. The round 0's aren't visible from arms's length.
The factory will never give you a perfect watch. They have no desire to do so. Get that out of your head. Many of us here are business minded folk. Put yourself in their shoes for a minute.

So basically your saying that if some scammer put one of these pups on the bay, even with some of "experts" it would be hard to call it out?
If you want to get really anal.. then date font is a bit off... and the date itself is a .5mm too high.. of course the brushed case grain is not 100% .. I believe an expert could call this watch out in a second.. a GEN AP is pure sex.. rep will always have some small imperfections
I think it depends on pic quality. But 99% of GEN owners wouldn't know. I bet most of the people bitching here couldn't tell the new Noob vs Other factory. Look at the posts. People want us to tell them the flaws.
I have a very good relationship with the GM of a big AP AD in Southern California. Let me just tell you that I can name off 20 members here who know more about AP's than he does.
Both of this is so true. Many who work in watch sales industry don't really know much about watches like many members here.
It is a job to them whereas is it a hobby to us so their job is only to sell those watches and what they need is just to know enough infomation that will make them sell those watches, nothing more than that.
Anyone think we'll see those limited run watches like the Montauk and the Mexico get re-released in the new and improved versions like the 4.1 that is making waves right now? I would kill for a SS bracelet version of the MH in an improved version.
On that note, never having handled a SS rep is the bracelet in huge need of improvement? The Pam 299N I bought blows me away with how good the SS bracelet is.

AP Rookie mistake!
That prompted me to check out the AP site and lo and behold the only non-rubber model of the diver is the ghastly all diamond model.

PS: Saw a gen (pre-owned) rubber strap and deployment sell today on eB for $495. Safe to say it's going on rep!

Hm...yeah of course those TDs and factories are playing us for idiots with money to waste and we are all falling for it...Secondly, why is the noob diver called 4.1 all of a sudden..Why not 3.6, 3.9 or just 4.0 since the other maker is not related to them. They just want to market it as better than other maker. Yet another "amazing" marketing strategy.

I think I remember that when the v3.5 came, they started selling the corrected date window crystal for like $50, to people who already had a v3.
I hope they do the same with the inner bezel for us with the v3.5...
I absolutely hate my V3.5 just because of the misaligned inner bezel. If I had spotted it on the QC pics I woud have never accepted it...
Edit: Also forgot to add that my shitty v3.5's second hand is sort of bent. I hope those issues are gone in the new version.

now the issue is if the v4.1 is simply just an updated inner bezel. the crown guard on v3.5 is really bad.
