I bought this noob m2m with a 2836 installed but the hands were mismatched, so I just ordered a complete BP Pepsi from perfect clones and had the dial hands and movement swapped into the noob and swapped that movement into the BP and listed it for sale. I went 2836 for reliability.

Looks like your watchsmith did a fantastic job. Look at that rehaut to dial alignment!

Would you recommend him to other members?

;-)

There is no stock improved movement for the Noob, it's always been the 2824 CHS timebomb.

You don't want to use an ARF SH3186 but rather the VR3185. It will fit with a custom movement holder but will need gen or gen-spec hands, or some careful modding of the Noob hands that few people can do. Cost of the new movement and hands/hands mod including labor can run $300, double that if using gen hands.

So would the better option be to swap this noob bracelet and bezel into a gmf or vrf? Then sell the old noob with the gmf/vrf parts Installed? Which of gmf or vrf would be the better match to swap parts?

That migjt be a much easier option. IDK of anyone who has tried it. There can be fit issues with either the bracelet or the insert. One member has put the Noob insert into an ARF bezel and had to shave the insert down quite a bit as the ARF insert is very thin. He also swapped in some gen movement parts to make the SH a reliable choice. Pretty sure he has gen hands too (no red ARF GMT hand yet).

I would lean toward VRF to try it for a couple reasons. They always come with the VR3185, GMF has used its own SA3186 (a 3rd version true clone) which is not as good. And GMF crystals can sit too high. But either one just fitted with a Noob insert would be a nice piece for sure.

Not really, there's no comparison of the features and given the lighting it's hard to have an idea of the colours of the bezel so it doesn't tell you much

The name of the video is enough for peoples who wanna nice pepsi rep and dont have knowledge like us

People who don't have knowledge like us won't know that it's a noob ;)

Just want to know there are no improvements since this noob watch first released 10+ months ago?

I've read all the pages, and it doesn't seem there are any tweaks or minor upgrades (not saying it needs, although I hope they can improve the "18" transition)

The reason I asked because normally factories will have minor fixes without making an announcement, ie. The zzf 116610LV, upgraded the "X" and changed the serial number

Don’t hold your breath becos I doubt they will come up with a new version soon as this model is still selling very well. The earlier batches had really good red-blue transition at 18 on the bezel insert. Even with the crappy transition, l think it’s still the best looking one and resembles the mk3 gen Pepsi colors

not sure if you read up about the Noob Pepsi movement. IMO, that’s the deal breaker literally... I would buy it in an instant if they change it to VR3186/3285 mvmt

This photo never gets old. I am eagerly awaiting for mine to arrive. It is from the current batch where I managed to get one where the transition is almost right. I'll post pics when it arrives for you all to see. It took LI 2 months to source one wth the 18 transition almost like the early batch.
