I love this watch so much. Still debating if I should get one, because of the movement. But it’s incredibly beautiful.

I think the price is too high for what it is. For this outlay I want something that will keep running and that I can use the way it was meant to be used without qualms.
Fortunately for me I am more of a fan of the Batman than the Pepsi so I keep wearing my GMF with the ICHS movement
I would (and will) wait for whatever ARF is going to come out with in the future with the cloned 3186 movement.

I totally agree with you, except for the fact that I think this could easily be the best GMT rep we will have. ARF won’t come close to the Noob case or insert. This rep is just amazing, except for the movement which is for me a big downside and probably the only reason I didn’t buy it yet. But again, beautiful watch.

The ARF 116710 LN seems very acceptable OOTB reading the review threads. Hoping they will get their act together on the BLRO and the BLNR. And the CHNR of ocurse ....

Personally I can’t stand the ultra fat case and the bold numbers... but I guess it’s matter of preferences

Errr... ARF bezel fonts are at correct thickness (boldness), while VRF is too thin.
As for case... You meant GMT or Sub from ARF? GMT is not fat unlike their Subs (at least for now, and not many can see it, including myself lol).

here's more

than here's noob

Don't get me wrong..Noob sucks compared to the new ARF..but they have a killer insert and DW that you don't have to mess with..just as long as your ok with a movement that could crap out on you and a bezel assembly that is second class.

Guys, if you look carefully at the ARF you will notice that the insert isn’t right as the case. The case completely misses the right curves. I am quite ocd on GMT so I pay a lot of attention to all these details. Estetically, to me, Noob is way better. Change the dial and the glass and you have a nearly perfect rep. But yes, the movement is crap :(

Yup, VRF= thin bezel and DW font. Noob= gen-like font for bezel and DW. ARF= bold bezel and DW font.

As for case shape, I'm diligently trying not to see it lol. I do peek here and there out of morbid curiosity though.

ARF LN insert markers are too thick and too deep, but I would still take them over the VRF.

Mind showing where the ARF case isn't right in comparison to the gen and Noob cases?

The lugs are wrong, ultra fat as usual of arf. In fact in the other discussion they are using the vrf case as basis for franken. Try to have a look at it, if you can t see I can try to make a pic comparison for you.
ARF is still a great rep, but it’s fat to my eyes and I am too ocd on GMTs to accept it. Rolex cases are so proportionate and I can’t really unsee a fat case. The noob case is 99.9% gen (just a tad too fat CGs but crazy good still). Even the brushing is really close to gen. The noob with a decent movement (and maybe a better bezel assembly) would be sick.
