Happy with everything except the lume. It's applied evenly but a dead giveaway as a rep. I'll be sending in for a relume when Strodda is accepting new work.
Hmmmm, that’s my only drawback so far.

My previous Pam was relumed as well. I don't think any rep apart from an exception or two have lume as good as the gen counterpart. Lume is expensiveHmmmm, that’s my only drawback so far.

It's just one of those things I'd personally opt for on any rep.
Pams are all I've owned for a few reasons. Here are a few from the top of my head-Aside from Pam what’s your favorite go to rep btw?
Pams are all I've owned for a few reasons. Here are a few from the top of my head-
1. Fewer tells, lesser brand awareness
2. ETA or ETA clone movements - reliability
3. Quick release lugs, multiple straps - dress up, dress down, personalize
I would buy a Cartier or IWC rep if I wanted something dressy.
Omega reps few years ago used to be really nice. Only a few remain now such as the LMPO, MKF DeVille. Their Seamaster 300 just needs a few updates, should come soon given they have the Gen.
Tudors are well-repped. I'm waiting for the ZF gold/steel BlackBay. The V6F Pelagos, BlackBay (V6F Shield logo), Ranger, BlackBay Bronze both brown and blue are well-repped. Get one with aligned markers and good lume and you're set.
If you like Pilot watches, some of the MKF and ZF IWCs are really well done.
As for Rolex, apart from the JF OP 114300 (needs a $100-130 service), any rep you pick will likely need another $300 in mods at the least. Also, buying a new Noob Sub/GMT/ SD4000 is winning the lucky draw given the batch variations of lug shape, SEL, insert. Better to go M2M.
There's this thread on NWBIG/ Not Worth Buying In Gen reps, you should take a look!
Many have said watches are out of style since your smartphone has the time. I totally disagree. Plus the smart watches are starting to become somewhat popular. I would never buy an Apple Watch simply because it doesn’t do anything my iPhone can’t do.
That's indeed something I debate with more often that I'd like to admit. When we buy a rep, we aren't buying a piece of horology or history, we are only buying a watch which is simply a chinese imitation of one. I have both gens and reps, more gens to be honest but that doesn't faze. $300 or $6000, I feel no different when strapping either on or when it comes to caring for them. I love them like my children. It's just something we do with our heart rather than our head. For me it's quite like art, art doesn't have to make sense, it is supposed to make us feel something
If I can enjoy the visual appeal of a watch I happen to fancy at that moment for a fraction of the actual cost, sell it without making a huge loss, reinvest in another and have fun all the way, why not! I don't see why rep factory workers would be in conditions any worse than Apple or Zara if that's an ethical dilemma some face.
Maybe one day I will keep just a mechanical dress watch and a wear a smartwatch everyday, but it isn't today. I am thoroughly enjoying this hobby
Makes two of us!I agree. I feel great when I wore my reps in the past. I admit I did stop for a while, but I’m getting back into it.
