I like it. I have only worn it briefly in the pic above because my lady swiped it when I was adjusting links. took an extra one out for her and I have not seen my watch sense then. went out for drinks and dinner and it looks good on her :p I should have snapped a pick.

everything is good on this watch. I like the link extender thingy. fit and finish is nice. movement is smooth and accurate. no complaints.

only thing I notice up close is the lume is a little lumpy/textured. totally unnoticeable a foot or two away. have a few nato straps on the way for it....if I get it back from my girl...and I think that is only going to happen if I get her a cartier or rolex with a bunch of diamond bling on it.

My black dial V2 showed up today, I'm pretty happy, I will show it with my V1 polar for comparison also. On the V2 black dial my hands match the hour markers pretty well as you can see. There never was that issue with the polar V1, so I am very happy having both of these in the stable. The lume pic looks like uneven colors but just how the iPhone reflected, the colors are all equal.

your hands are just the same as mine mikfin. they are mismatched. the hands are lighter(more white) than the hour indices. look at your 6th picture where the minute hand is right next to an indice. noticeable difference. that's how they all are with this version. It doesn't bother me, but they are different. still a beautiful watch.

I want the polar so bad..............arrghh.........already have a black but the lume on the white kills me. During the sunlight day its much more obvious the difference.

I'm checking the accuracy now and will have a 24 hour check at noon. It looks like this V2 is going to be about 30 second fast in 24 hours, I know in time that may change but very acceptable. My V1 polar runs not quite 1 second slow in 24 hours, after SpeedyG put in an ETA rotor and bearing it is amazingly accurate. I'm not complaining if this new one stays at only 30 seconds fast in 24 hours. How is the accuracy of your A2836's? Just one of my Obsessions I check on all of my movements.
I will have the chance to check out the lume difference in daylight today, I will check outside in the sun as well as all light conditions. I wore it to bed as I always do and like my polar the lume was still bright when I woke up 7 hours later.
It's still strange looking at this model in black, the black has a totally different look, I notice the white gold look around the markers, the polar are black around the edges, the white gold look is really a nice touch. The Rolex and explorer 2 writing on the dial is much more subdued on the black dial, on the polar those letterings really stand out. The black has a classic Rolex look to it. The 24 hour hand on the black dial appears a darker shade Of orange to me. As far as the bezel being better on the V2, at arms length or just normal checking the time, you would never notice a difference, but if you have really good eyes(George) you would notice this I'm sure. Egro knows this watch very well and gives very good advice and he can spot these differences quickly. I am so glad we have this forum to get so many expert eyes and opinions to keep this hobby interesting.

Yep, I think it's a great watch too. polar hands match the lume on the hands and hour markers perfectly. If you go outside they will match on your new black one. In my pics I took outside they seem to match, but the pics I took inside or in shade you can see the differences in the stark white of the hands and the darker shade of the hour markers. Like I said though. it doesn't bother me. but to a lot of people it might. I agree that white gold look on those hour markers really is a nice touch. It's a big change from the v1 and noticeable as soon as I took my watch out of the wrapping. If that 30 seconds bothers you you could send that to speedy. It's something he could do pretty easily to get it within a few seconds
+ or - Trevor definitely got you a good one. Looks great mikfin.

as you can see noob v2 dial lume color still a bit off compares to gen

the overall build quality of V2 is great but still a little disappointed

I still think the rep lume is a little too blueish grayish or whatever colour you decipher it, it's just not as white as the original one. I don't know whats their problem, they can just use the exact lume mix like they have on the latest sub or GMT.

Also, the numbers on the bezel are a little too thick compared to the gen, or... they are closer together between the numbers. What I'm talking about is, like the 22 and 24, they seem to be closer to each other between 2-2, and 2-4, while the gen is spaced a little further.

I have the gen polar dial on a v1 case and the gen dial is a lot different to the v1 dial. The gen lume is actually darker shade of white than the reps. The black outline is much thicker on the gen and the orange on the gen is higher on contrast. Also the print on the gen is sharp and thin. The gen dial makes a huge difference to the watch. I would say to get the black dial v2 as it looks closer to gen than the polar. I'm gona purchase the v2 as it looks almost perfect to the gen apart from the rehaut. Thanks for the comparison pic jhk.

i will post a gen vs rep pic of the v1 dial and gen dial when I get home

I think the numbers in the bezel look spot on to the gen there maybe micro millimetre difference but you wouldn't spot that from arms length. I have the v1 with the fat bezel numbers which is annoying me
