Thanks a lot guru! Still, it's sad to hear that the bezel misalignment with the ARF's is "common". I'll give it a chance and reject the first offer and hope for the best... If everything goes wrong, I can still fall back to this one..

I wouldn't count on recovering a once rejected watch if you reject a second one. Its not worked out for me before that the first one was still available.

The bezel issue in your case is not one of alignment since two indexes are spot on and two are off. It's also not a dial issue as you can see all the hour markers are perfectly centered. There's no way to adjust the bezel so all markers line up properly. The only possible cause of this is a mis-cut bezel. The engravings aren't all where they should be.

SELS are not so great and Bezel is slightly off.

You can't accurately assess bezel alignment unless the pic is dead centered. This is as good as it gets. The SELs on the PM models extend beyond the lugs. Probably not intentional, but on this specimen the sides of both SELs extend beyond the lugs. Lucky me!

Did you have to buy the whole ARF watch for the Bezel?

And will you be installing the ARF bezel onto the Noob yourself or getting a modder to do it? Thanks, I have this mod planned for the future when I purchase the 116500. Currently got the white dial 116520 on it's way to me which will get an ARF dial and possibly an ARF bezel if I can source one.

Wow, after you wrote that, the scales fell from my eyes! You must be right, this is not a misalignment of the whole bezel itself, it has to do something with the manufacturing process of the ceramic bezel, where the placement of the bezel markers was off... how else could this be explained.

I'm preparing to do some modding with a brand new ARF and Noob 116500 in black. The plan is to take the dial and bezel from the ARF to the Noob. We will use Gen hands, crystal and crown.

What else is worth swapping from the ARF? Bracelet? Pushers?

I wouldn‘t use the crown, but parts of the bracelet. And why do you want to put the ugly ARF pushers on the noob?

That was a question. It seemed most people like the Noob pushers better.

I'm using a genuine crown. Could you elaborate on the bracelet?

Just received my Noob 904L 166520 SS with white dial. This thing looks and feels awesome out of the box.

It's a shame Noob couldn't get a few minor details correct like the case shape, dial and bezel details otherwise this would be a super rep. I hope they can correct these flaws in a later revision.

I have just received mine too today. Stunning looking piece indeed. The dial is just marvellous... the bracelet on the other hand I find it a tad flimsy.

Your watch looks great.

Here is a pic of mine, the bracelet seems ok but I haven't taken the stickers off yet as I don't know if I want to keep it yet because of the dial mod needed. The bracelet doesn't seem as flimsy as my Noob sub and has some weight to it. Maybe if I take the stickers off I can check if it has a rattly bracelet or not.

Excuse the pic, was trying to be creative.

Super helpful post, thanks for sharing. The difference in font isn't actually that bad. Does the ARF bezel look glossier in real life? It's difficult to tell in the pictures.

I don't have the ARF steel bezel in hand so not sure how glossy it looks in person, but I was quoted $70 USD for it which I think isn't worth it for the 116520 as the Noob one looks ok as I have seen a Gen with a thin font aswell.

The ARF ceramic bezel on the other hand looks much better than the Noob one so I will get the ARF watch and transplant the parts to a Noob 116500 which I will also need to buy.

@plasticman, that’s a neat Noob piece you got there! So the Noob 904L version has a dramatic improvement in the bezel as compared to the earlier release. No need to buy an ARF bezel at all! Wear it in good health, mate!

Thanks! I am very pleased with it! Definitely my best rep so far and a joy to wear.
I have to say that the 120 tachy sits slightly to the right of the 6 o clock marker... on the wrist goes unnoticed though.

Thanks I thought that was the case with the ceramic ARF. Just waiting for the 116500 white dial noob v2 to be released now...
