damn I thought VRF updated their insert! Yours looks great though. I still think VRF is a strong option for those of us that probably won't mod -- given that both ARF and VRF movements are reasonably reliable.

I cant say that I'm the biggest Rolex fanboi out there (apart from the 6542) but the VRF with an ARF bracelet may just be my first Rolex rep I take the plunge on - looks excellent

I just checked puretime and they have an ARF with the 3186 listed since 29.Nov.! Is it the the same movement but from arf or do they all get their movements from the same manufacturer?

Looks good! I would be worried that it could get expensive if the movement has an issue... I understand that you would have to get Gen parts right?

No. VRF is a rep of a 3185 and the ARF is a rep of the 3186.

Good catch I didn't notice that on my initial viewing.

Sometimes I wish I didn't know all these details lol.

Once I know something is off, i tend to focus on it way too much.

at 23 seconds in this video it looks like the hour hand doesn't jump.. almost like the gears are slipping?

I watched it about 20 times trying to see if the hand doesn't jump while the crown is spinning or if he the crown didn't actually spin... like his finger wasn't applying enough pressure and just slipped past the crown. It's really kind of impossible to tell from the video. Although, it wouldn't be the first time Puretime shows someone displaying a broken movement in a promo video lol.

Just purchased a VRF gmt and was wondering if anyone has tried to upgrade movement parts with gen. Also i her its ok to swap gen bezel with VRF bezel as long as gen gasket is also used?? Does anyone tested out these things ot have any idea if this is possible ??
