Yeah I suspected that. Too white lume does look weird and is one of the most obvious flaws on Rolex reps IMHO.

Gen for comparison. Looks a little yellow. I think it's really a niche personal taste whether absolute white or the smallest hue of yellow is a deal breaker.
Again, different lighting (blindingly bright white) than Li's shop.

My QC looks similar
I am presuming lighting plays a factor.
Unless there's someone with a VSF from Li that has a noticeably whiter indice, it can't be denoted that there is an issue with the lume itself.
You're right about the markers. It could also be the angle.

I have already asked for better pics, and better lighting, it doesn't look bad but just want to be sure it is not the yellow lume issue. Did you accept yours?

You usually need side by side comparison on the same picture of gen vs rep to be able to tell anything meaningful about colors. Comparing different pictures with different lighting and cameras is usually not useful in telling things like color differences. I just know it’s an obvious issue with Rolex reps once you’ve noticed it once. Not a deal breaker for me in any way but yet probably the most obvious flaw to my eyes. So if they made the lume on this more gen like it would be a plus on an already great looking rep.

Indeed, the movement seemed in excellent condition and the alignment was perfect. It was too good to pass!

Absolutely good sir! Li has yet to give me tracking, it's taking way longer than usual. Must be all the heavy flow of sales.

I’ve owned 2 of the gen and neither were yellow in full daylight! Yes when you were inside there was residual effect of the charged lume but outdoors they were crisp white. Had the black and the grey dial versions.

That's interesting. Are the ones you posted here gens?
It could be the light ! I saw the gen a week ago, specifically after the yellow lume posts and it was not crisp white in my opinion. There is a difference between daylight and artificial light source. Either way, we need more QC pics in order to judge this.

If anyone had a chance to post gen vs rep on the same picture it would be king. But it will probably be a while before that happens since it was just released. In any case I like this rep a lot judging from the pictures. My fingers are itching.

It wouldn't help with the lume issue because there are plenty of reps that don't have the yellow lume problem. It's a batch issue. Show a rep in a photo with gen and both have good lume but that doesn't rule out those that have gotten one from a bad batch.

How can you be sure there even is a problem without comparison? And who told you only this batch looks like it does? There are plenty of reps that have a too white lume problem which is very obvious IMO.

Look at the photos. Something is clearly wrong and most reps of VSF don't have that but quite a few people do.
And a reddit user stated he took his rep to the AD and it was not as white as gen.

I stay well cleared of reddit. Taking a rep to an AD is against RWI rules can get you banned here.
I can see that there seems to be an issue with your watch which should be obvious on the QC pics if it’s that apparent.
since this is the first batch there is no way to know what the next batches will look like unless you’re psychic
I just got some pics from my TD in good lighting and I see no real problem. Maybe a tad yellowish but no worse than the too white lume on Rolex reps. Actually it looks better to me on those pics.
