ok i just received mine.
following noteworthy points:
ceramic case is great
strap is good
lume is nice
movement rotor is very loud and caseback is not as tinted as it should be. pictures are attached

one problem though: it seems my watch is not aligned, meaning at 12 o clock the minute and hour marker are not in a straight line (also see pictures attached). when i try to align the hour hand theough moving the hour hand only by turning the crown, it jumps right back to the unaligned state as soon as i click back in the crown...
any idea how to fix this?

It's a hand alignment issue, which necessitates some work from a watchmaker, who will move the hour hand to coincide with the hour markers when the minute hand is @12.

i dont get why the TDs do not check for this when sending out the watch... i guess that is another point i need to put on the QC checklist for the next time

Man this watch just looks absolutely gorgeous. But that takes me to one question I didn't yet could answer for myself. Are these movements (at least a bit) stable? "Custom asian made" sounds very inhouse'ish, but its so new... Can someone enlighten me on the movement quality of VSF in general? It looks great, but is it reliable?

PS: I know with reps it's always a gamble, but maybe the pros can share experiences. Thinking of the Noob SA and JF SH movements that are more like balance wheel timebombs and stem grenades. Thx

Asking about a movement that's just passed 3 months into release in terms of reliability is hard. We have no population data about how many of the watches that have this movement have been sold and how all of them are doing so far. I did hear that the movement factory tested this new movements (not only this one) for a year before they released it into mass production but you know how it goes in the rep world. Unless you personally saw them doing the testing for a year, you can't be sure.

VSF does not make movements, like all other factories, they subcontract parts to other sub-factories. There is a case factory, a movement factory, etc. In terms of manufacturing chops, they are the same factory as V6F, which before was called KW factory. So they have some experience under their belts (not to mention have released some very good reps).

Thanks for your reply. I thought so, but atleast it is good not to hear that the 9xxx movements that VSF uses bang up like salted popcorn. They seem to have sold quite a few, so it cannot have behaved so bad. The feedback would contain more help calls then I guess. ...and you are right, the rest they tell us lives on in our believes! :bless:

Basically when I wind the watch, the PR indicator is not moving as it’s suppose to be tied to the winding for V2

The V1 doesn’t move, but according to some, V2 is suppose to move when winding the crown and it’s not suppose to move freely or spin freely...u can do a search on RWI forum to see the answers...

As for this movement is very solid. I have the V1 with the 24hr gmt. I wear this watch every day and I’m a tig welder. I have abused this watch movement for 1year and it’s still runs smoothly and keeps excellent time.

Yup totally agree with u. The movement is very solid indeed, only hear praises for this watch...anyway the PR indicator is not a big deal either if it’s not working as it should, but if I can fix it...it will make the watch even better...[emoji4]
