New Tudor pelagos is coming

I’m quite dissappointed by this release, and the number one reason is of course the sunburst dial, which in my opinion is missing.

We all know what the gen looks like.

You're in your right to feel this way but no one outside the TD's has one at hand yet, so I feel you might be jumping the gun too quickly to ascertain as such.

We all have to remember that at the end of the day, TD's really do not care much on showing these small details. They're there to make money, not to anally nitpick. The latter is our job. We sadly have to wait for members who actually know what to show have them at hand.

It has been told to EXHAUSTION that the sunburst of the gen is only seen at certain light angles, and from what Ryan at Intime has show in a video, it SEEMS ZF they did something about it.

Let's all touch some grass and wait, some of our members should be getting theirs this week.

So in the ZF Qc video, there is BARELY sunburst. Nowhere near the gen photos above.

But it’s unlikely ZF will fix this. They didn’t fix the minor issues on the BB58 or BB54

Looking at this Pelagos 42 dial, it seems chapter ring is part of the dial. I assume dials won’t be replaceable. One will have to make a compromise: either wide chapter ring, or matte dial with yellow hands.

With replicas we just have to get someone to disassemble to tell. With these lower end watches there's no promise it's the same type construction as gen. The chapter ring could be separate or same piece as the dial. I actually think if it's the same piece/glued to the dial it should be less frustrating to fit into the watch.

I think it's a pass for me on this one. I'm just gonna put the money towards the new San Martin watch and hope ZF comes back to fix it. They're the same price anyways lol.
