ah, I saw that Panerai updated some of the "older" 42mm Submersibles into newer versions without any (real) noticable changes.
PAM 973 --> PAM 2973
PAM 683 --> PAM 2683
PAM 1070 --> PAM 2070 (44mm)
to the question of the OP. I doubt that VSF will make the new models slimmer. Rep movements and cases are still the same. The only advantage the new models have, that the fish eye effect of the glass is gone.

or a 9015 with a proper working secs@9-module. At least I don´t care about the look of the movement when the watch has closed caseback like thins one ;-)
interesting as I couldn't find the 1250 on the dealers website with the pictures above - so are they able to be ordered?
could do with a tummy tuck and an arselift and from a distance with bad eyesight may pass… but actually the dial is not too bad.. here’s my gen 1250 when I treated it to a new brown suit.

VSF uses incorrect crown guard construction and the casebook is curved and not completely flat as per GEN. Same construction as per older VSF DUEs. Probably due to the movement.
