New ROF Factory GMTs - Please share your thoughts

The red on the gmt has different shades depending which MK it is , it has multiple shades depending on the lighting, i have the gen and believe ROF has best bezel insert so far, slap on a gen hands, gasket , dw and crystal and u’ll be good to go. Maybe VSF or ARF can surprise with even greater version ,

Just noticed that Noob makes two different colored Pepsi inserts...

The WG/Oyster rep has a noticeably lighter shade of red while the SS/Jub's red looks more dark brown.... going to have to make sure my TD gets the brighter red version

I bet it is the same insert. Here are my approved QC pics for SS and WG versions (bought at different times).

Okay so they are different inserts, thanks for posting. I personally like the brighter shade of red, it pops more. Dark brownish is nice too though.

Not that it may be correct, but I prefer to keep the darker one on brushed oyster, it tones things down for more subtle piece.

I'm in the camp that as long as it looks good I don't care if it's not gen-like, so I'm with you there.

Can you tell me what the base case and bracelet for that is? I'm trying to come up with a build for a Pepsi, and the SEL recess on that looks great.

Both are noob, the oyster bracelet is a v2 arf with noob stock spring bars.

Those are just sample variations of the same batch of inserts. The color shade and uniformity of shade varies, just like the transition points do. For being the "best" rep Pepsi insert, Noob's supplier leaves a lot to be desired in the area of consistency.

You might be right. Are we sure it's still random to this day and they didn't just update the colors? Maybe they updated it from a darker brown shade to the lighter brown?

Plenty of pics in the thread below showing color variations through the availability period. Lighting has a big effect as well but Noob is not one to make improvements on anything especially if they have a corner on the market.

Of course bro. One of BP/GMF, VRF, or Noob Jubilees will undoubtedly fit. No one here has an ROF in hand yet AFAIK so we can't know definitively.

As soon as I arrive, I'll post some photos. I don't have many pretensions in replicas, so for me it's really gorgeous and the colors of the bezel are the most beautiful so far seen. (IMHO)

I have both Noob Blue dial 126719 and ROF Meteorite in hand (With Modder now for franken project). Here are my initial thoughts:

1. Both ROF and Noob insert color schemes are good. Frankly, the more I look at the ROF brighter colors(Gen MK1 or 116719 colors), the more I like it. But Noob is closer to current generation colors. The bezel rotation mechanism itself is horrible in ROF (lots of resistence with no gen like click feedback). Noob is better in that aspect. I don't know yet of the Noob bezel still suffers from the bad construction (as seen in their 126710 pepsi models)
2. Build quality of both watches seem reasonable to me. I like the case/SEL/CG shapes and polish on both, Noob has a slight edge for me. Frankly, the ROF price point is very good for a movement with VR. The ROF Meteorite dial color has blue hues (I plan to replace it)
3. ROF crystal is bad, you will need a better alternative. WG Crown is correct in Noob (bigger center dot) but wrong in ROF (all 3 are even, that's for SS models)
4. I liked the ROF hands better (shine and finish) but then I am replacing with gen hands. I also like the ROF marker lume plots better.
5. ROF rehaut print is pretty good, better than the Noob. DW on ROF and Noob will need to be replaced (Not sure if it is DW boldness or wrong cyclops mag, but ROF Dates are not good).
6. Both use Noob bracelets but ROF case has SEL recess. Noob is almost flush (I tend to prefer that though ). Quality of bracelet is very good. Both my clasps have ARF like quality. I am still replacing bracelet with ARF.

In my opinion, you will need a hybrid build to get the best of both worlds, Good luck!! For reference, here are my approved QCs. Will post more pics when project is completed.
