@ thermalboyz - I`ve noticed Your posts on watchbus. If You have any contact with ZF please give them info about wrong data wheel on ardoise version. On Lauerus the date is ok.

I have no contact with ZF, however, those are only sample and from my reading memory the date print (Wheel) not aligned seems to be an QC issues for both ZF and YL. From my understanding the Date wheel mis-aligned cannot be corrected as it was printed wrongly (or I should say slightly offset).

@kennycoder , It is difficult to spot during QC as well unless the TD took a direct plan view of the watch, which most TD took QC in slight angle therefore very hard to justify whether it's fully centered or not. Well, those are the things to check during QC.

Thank you for the info. Damn shame, I was about do disassemble it today and try my luck as I've done couple of time with subs' overlays.
sharrkey, Maybe you can double check if the DW has overlay since you have the gen dial ready to be installed? Thank in advance

Date Wheel position not centered. especially the Ardoise model from most TD which had sample. But this might improve and we shall see. Look closely and you will see what we meant here.

It sits too high in the data window or the font is too short. Compare the height of the 7 and 5 numbers on the dial with the date wheel on gen and on the rep. The date in Pure time pictures looks better than in Intime pics. There is like a 2mm gap on the top of the date wheel.

OK, the date wheel is not perfect on every rep. But the crooked "5" would bother me more (especially on the intime picture)

Thanks Chel and Thermal, I see what you mean. The entire series seem to have date wheel alignment issues but the ardoise seemed to be hardest hit. Thanks for pointing that out.

Hi guys, I've just received my 2nd QC pics. Need your inputs whether I should accept this one. I think its flawless but my eyes might be wrong. Appreciate your inputs!

That's not the purpose of Qc pics

My bad Sharrkey.

If I may ask one thing, it looks like the left number "1" on the 11th hour mark is shorter and thicker compared to the right number "1". In fact, the 11th hour mark is not aligned to the 1st hour mark. I know some of you have had issues with this before, do you request new watches until you get the right one or is this "normal" for this watch?

This is my 2nd QC pics and I already noticed the improvement on the date alignment, but the 11th hour mark is still bothering me.

Can any one of you chime in?

** I don't know why the pic is a thumbnail instead of the fullsize

How about you stop wasting the TD's time and buy gen if the numeral markings are off by a fraction of a millimeter?

Calm down bud, whats acceptable to one isn't to another..

I know I'm bound to get flamed and I realized I was being too anal.

However, I wouldn't put the line marker if I didn't feel something was wrong with the dial when I looked at the QC pics a few seconds after I woke up.

Ultimately, I'm almost at the edge of accepting this one since everything else looks perfect to me. I just want to know if others have had the same experience.

Take this one!
I don't think you will find a better one, even if you could choose one yourself. ;)

The wait actually made me order a Pam 372, just too make a distraction for my self. :whistling:

Maybe you can consider to get a gen dial to franken if you are so serious to the dial details.
