Hi,
I've pull the trigger on a 5001 with white dial and blue hands.
It's almost perfect it seems but I have one doubt on the QC.
It seems that the head of a screw is damaged.
What should I do? Ask for more pics? Have them change it?

Ask for a better picture and ask if they can change the screw if it is damaged. Otherwise keep it if all else is good as good ones are tough to find, especially without crooked markers.
Yes, exactly my thoughts. And just to mention it, I indeed have the impression that on one hand the reps get better in terms of accuracy, but on the other hand worse and worse regarding the build quality. Actually there seems to be no quality control at all.
Unfortunately the "1" of the 10 is clearly leaning left, especially compared to the 11 which seems to lean a bit to the right.

Compare it to the "I" in "IWC" because the picture/watch is slightly tilted to start with. The "5" is crooked too a little. Very tough to get a really good one, so it is down to whatever you can live with and how critical a buyer will be when you decide to sell it!
The fact that both 10 and 11 ones are slightly leaning in opposite directions accentuates it.

Durix, you'll need to decide for yourself if you are okay with it or not.
If youre like some of the people here and the crooked markers bother you now, they will continue to bother you when you do get the watch. just because you know

Do you guys know, whether there are plans for the new 5007. i personally don't like the gap between the strap and case. Is there a way to get rid of it without drilling new lug holes?
Could try getting a custom made strap and request for a thicker padding near the lugs where the spring bar is inserted.
Might not totally get rid of the gap but it would probably reduce it
