Gens also come with flat hands but the rounded ones are much nicer.

True, afaik only the new model 5007 has rounded hands, but they really look a lot more decent.

Hi guys, have read for a bit and have a few questions and confirmations to my findings. I am so sorry for Q1, I really tried searching but its really hard and a lot to read. I have no idea what to phrase to use search bar, it never gives me what I want, there's still a ton of manual filtering to do and I am strapped on time.

1. I really love the design but what is the difference between the rep 5001 and rep 5007?
(From what I read they are the same but 5007 is name wrongly by the TDs? Is that true?)

2. If they are different, which is the best version to buy now? 5001 or 5007? And ZF V2 is the best now, from what I read, just need confirmation before I hit the purchase button.

1) Curve Strap (5001 lug holes is little further out than 5007)
2) Movement Rotor (Smaller)
3) Dial Fonts (IWC Schaffhausen)
4) Clasp / buckle
5) Movement differences - 5001 have white ceramic component with single barrel for mainspring, 5007 have Black ceramic and double barrels for mainspring

If i missed anything pls add it on

But why are many TD's listing 5007 when it is not available? Such as Intime and Puretime listing --> IW500702 ZF etc?

Thanks a lot for the insight of the gen.
So is it safer to buy '5001' listing by TD or is it ok to buy '5007' listing? Coz some TD list the color combinations that I like and they are only available in '5007' & not '5001'. If they are same quality as named '5001' then I will probably go for it.
ZF V2 still better than YL V4?

My last 2 questions, no more after this. Thank you guys so much for helping, really saves me a lot of time from the confusion of TD Listing.

Yes, at any TD (except Puretime, they meanwhile changed most of the namings correctly to 5001 according to my hint to Angus) 5001 is exactly the same as 5007, so you're safe with 5001.

For the gen, there are no difference from looking at it & if you know where to look. Anyway, Rep only have 5001 (which some TD called them 5007). ZF v2 should be the best but once I see the YL v4, the movement plate is upgraded the same as ZF v2. Now the difference only on the dial and hands. I would say very close between these v2 and v4 now.

From my observations, ZF dial mostly have crooked 10 and 11 but YL doesn't have. The dial colour of ZF is closer to Gen compare to previous YL edition, I've not seen YL v4 dial yet so cannot confirm it had changed much.

Summary, if u like it. Buy the latest version either from ZF or YL depends on your budget and liking. Good luck and welcome to the IWC family.

Plus, keep in mind you DO need additional funds for a good strap.
