That kinda sucks when they miss pretty big things like that. I mean, put 1 guy in R&D for googling authenic pics for a few hours and they wouldn't have these mistakes.
Was kinda bummed down when i noticed that AFTER i ordered the watch. Got even more bummed down when i checked e-bay for an authentic IWC deployant clasp and it's listed around 2800$ in rose gold.
was actually considering buying a santoni strap for this watch but since this is quite a big tell for people who aren't even watch nerds I'm scrapping that ideá.
Just sent an email, will see what Ryan saysI don't think is possible but you can ask TD.
Well the clasp is not going to give it away to a watch nerd. Because the movement will draw more attention than the clasp.
When I am given somebody's watch I just check it out. Look at all the details, and if there is an exhibition case back, check out the movement. I will never check if a buckle has the correct marks
Oh well, maybe I'm not a watch nerd...
Agreed, the vast majority of people never know a rep from a gen no matter the quality of the rep. Most people have likely have never heard of IWC, never mind how the clasp looks!
