While the new top plate is sort of an improvement you will still never fool anyone who knows the movement. Personally I'm in two minds over it, firstly I think the 'V1' looks like a nice well made movement albeit lacking some decoration (i haven't had any issues yet!). Some aspects of the 'V2s' movement look good but honestly the rough cut faux gears and the faux ceramic levers look awful.
Personally I would rather look at the mechanics of a funtioning movement rather than one that has bits stuck all over it that have no function and can been seen obviously as such.
Having said that the next one I will buy will be a V2 and I hope in hand it looks better than in the images.

Considering all the pants-shitting that occurred over the centering of the date in the window on batch 1, I'm rather shocked nobody has commented on how nicely the date appears to be centered on the V2 samples presented on Puretime.

It doesn't make any difference which dealer you buy from. They're all shipped direct from the factory. Dealer is just a conduit to the factories.
