Chaosg thanks for the comparison, fantastic work.

KSwatches isn't that the "grey" dial version?

No. It’s the blue dial version, in natural light, no filters.

In some lighting/angle it looks black and in some lighting/angle it looks deep blue. Gen is equally dynamic in colour. My point is that It seems pointless comparing rep vs gen unless both are side by side in the same light/angle.

In the video, it seems that the man suggest to wait PPF V2.. because of some little flaws on the markers, for the bezel and for the crown. So I think I'll wait...

But I have a question for you guys.. have you noticed that all PPF movements does not include a screw?? on the plate? What is the reason?

Both are reps, left is PPF (less bold date fond) and right is PF (smaller date font).

Saw that this video for the PPF Nautiluses came up, but I don't speak Mandarin. Can anyone confirm which of the blue dials is the rep? Both look good to me but my eye is untrained.

He said the ppf blue is not good wrong dial colour too blue. The bezel is also too wide. He said he really likes the white ppf now that he has worn it for over a week. The dial colour of the white and the markers seems to be accurate and because white is close to the grey bezel he didn’t notice the chunky bezel as much as the blue. He also said the bracelet is extremely good with clear logo and polish.

Chaosg since you are obviously familiar with the gen, I want to ask how does the ppf feel in hand, is it comparable or does it feel flimsy or wrong in some way?

Hi, sorry for late

The PPF does feel comparable, IMHO.

Of course, the different dial colour makes it difficult for direct comparison, but the feeling is quite similar. In fact, PPF is 3 grams heavier with same link configuration ( 3 links short).

As you may have known, Nautilus 5711 is flimsy by nature..... ;)

But , I'd say the white one is good to go , even with the known issues.

I just got my white PPF. I'm very happy with it, such a beautiful watch. The only problem is now I have to wait weeks to get it resized as my pin removal tool is broken :(

Congrats! If you don't want to wait weeks, you can take it to a watch repair shop and they can size it for you.

Amazon Prime? Sorted tomorrow!

Yeah - I live in Switzerland, which doesn't have Amazon (and most items can't be delivered here from other Amazon sites). The location also makes it a little tough finding rep-friendly watch places - thus far I've not dared to try!

Anyway, once I do get it sorted I think it'll barely leave my wrist for a while. I've had about 60 or so reps, and this is easily one of my favourites.

Really impressed with PPF (compared with PF, which just feels like cheap junk).

Here are some real life pictures for information.

I have no idea how this compares to gen. gen blue is very dynamic and there are lots of variants - most pictures I have seen of the gen are heavily edited or in artificial lighting, so it’s hard to define what gen should look like.

The blue dial is very dynamic. In some angles it looks almost black.

And in some angles/lighting is looks overly blue:

The watch feels super thin compared to PF and the bracelet (although still in plastic), feels quite flexible, unlike the rigid end-link MK version I had a while ago.

It’s a nice watch overall. The retro design of the Nautilus is not entirely to my taste...especially considering the gen price tag but at least we now have a 5711 rep that is wearable OTB (without requiring re-lume, custom DW, end-link mod etc)

How’s rotor noise? Thanks

Thank you for the quick response, and congratulations on your Gen Nautilus it's is certainly the most desirable watch in the market right now, I have a white dial on its way, and it is great to hear that it stands up to the real thing finish and build, I for one don't mind the flaws as long a the watch feels the part!
