I did not find any other thread ... Do you recommend XF?

Purely based on nothing else but the Carbotech pattern on this version compared to the V6F and ZF versions, since everything else is the same (even though the movement is a clone P.9000, it's still not a superclone with the functions of the gen movement), yes.

Received mine today. Very impressed overall with the quality of this model. The CG and lever both feel sturdy on mine and operate nicely. The carbon quality and finish are very nice, and the pattern / reflection looks very accurate when compared to the gen. Though it is hard to say for certain as I have never seen the gen in person

Good to know the crown and lever are sturdy on yours - I guess @S.Martin was just plain unlucky on his. Something to make the TD aware of when placing an order for this model.

How is the carbotech construction on the rep? Is it bonded layers as per gen or is the look achieved by another process - paint / etc - I have no idea hence the question.

You can read about the construction of the Carbotech used in our reps (which is as per gen although unfortunately for the 1st release had too few bonded layers) in @PolonusTM's review of the original KW/V6F PAM616.
