What I'm getting at is that both of those dials are technically white, even as per the OEM description, but the machining of any metallic dial in the nature of both the AP and VC will produce a sheen that makes the dial appear as more of a silver. While I don't have a replica in hand of the new white dial, I can say that the Black dial can look both black and or completely graphite depending on how the light is being reflected. Based solely on this, I believe under normal light the white dial should appear more metallic or silvery in nature. The QC pictures I received for this watch and the lighting the rep dealers use when taking their marketing pictures don't really capture what is going on.I stand corrected on the internal groove incline angle remark - saw your pics on the phone and it looked like the groove had less angled inner ridges than the gen, but after having the pic on the computer screen I can confirm that's not the case at all. Overall, the reproduction of the strap appears to be very faithfully done.
Good to hear that there are no gaps between the bezel and the case, I should have specified that I wasn't commenting on your pics but on the ones I saw on one of the dealer sites, my apologies for the confusion.
I agree that the medallion engraving detail level doesn't matter all that much while worn on the wrist. And of course, it would be unreasonable to demand the same degree of artistic execution from a massively cheaper replica, but all these points notwithstanding - this is still a valid observation - the dulled down engraving was actually the only thing that jumped out at me immediately when I saw the pic of this new Overseas rep.
As for the silver/white dial - I assure you that the dial is silver in colour and even though it appears white in some lighting conditions, especially indoors and with fluorescent lighting. If you look closely, it is definitely silvery white albeit with a lot less light play and refraction then the 14500 for example, which is also silvery, not white. I tried to take a picture to illustrate this but unfortunately the iPhone camera just doesn't capture the real life metallic sheen of either of the two watch dials:
