If there's ever going to be a V3, hopefully VSF featured this gap on the He valve crown and replicate the titanium bracelet
kryp29 i agree. Even though V2 looks to be an awesome watch, there is just too many tells still compared to other VSF reps. Most of their reps are so close to gen, you would take a while to notice side by side. With this rep you distinguish it quite quickly still. The gap at HE valve, the thinner bezel markings and the bracelet. The first two need to be fixed in my opinion.

As I've mentioned before, the gap you're talking about at 10 o'clock on the gen is on the side of the case which somewhat looks incomplete but i suppose it is that way for a reason. Kinda like a bridge or road with a gap in between. I've circled it just to be clear. It's nothing to do with the helium valve. It's on the side of the case. Yes, the rep doesn't have this gap on the side of the case.
Fellow gen owner MrBurgundy can clarify this further perhaps.

Titanium bracelet is enough to me.
Sorry, the bracelet isn’t necessarily a tell. You can buy the Gen with or without. if you buy without you’re free to use whatever mesh you want. It’s not a tell of the watch IMO all the reps have these tells I’m not sure what everyone wants from these reps sometimes. Reps used to be so shit and only resembles the watch it was copying. Now you buy them and they give 90% + of the look and feel of the genuine article they will never be the same.

Flat edges of the bezel are 0.9mm too short too but we’re really nitpicking now

Agreed. No rep is perfect. This V2, I've been wearing it almost everyday since getting it, just looks so good imo. So spot on with the gen from what I remember of the gen when i handled it in February, from the brown tone of the bezel to the matte, grainy dial. I really like how the indices look as well. The icing on the cake is the domed crystal imo. Done perfectly by VSF. Put it on the nato strap or other straps and the tell is gone.. But I love how it wears with the mesh provided.
I don't really care that it doesn't have that gap on the side of the case at 10 o'clock by the helium valve like the gen has as its barely noticeable in the photos I've taken.
Just love looking at it and everytime I see it, I just can't wait till November to see the movie!
I wonder if the watch does anything in the movie.......

It has arrived. At the beginning i had a hit cause i thought the indexes were misaligned but it was just the effect of the doomed crystal.
It's way better than i expected from the V1, honestly i don't think i'll need the V2. I prefer to save money for something else (maybe a Snoopy or Ultraman).

stufuse at he price range this rep is selling they can do better. This is of course all my opinion and each is entitled to his own opinion. The cheaper 2018 SMP 300m is like a 98% copy with almost no tells. Why pay more, for a watch with (in my opinion) quite obvious tells. They can do better. Id they will, I dont know. Maybe lets wait and see for the side by side by mrburgundy.

Congratulations and enjoy it! It's so clear how much thicker the numbers are on the bezel when compared to my V2...
thinking logically, the He valve is threaded, on noticing it (not that I can ever see it happening ) the tiny gap or lack of, could be attributed to someone not screwing in enough or too much? Unless you know a rep exists with a minute difference in the case I’m not sure you would ever know it’s there. Just like some crowns screw in more than others with age.
It’s easy to see these things on looking between the gen and rep under magnification continuously as has been here but seeing the two separately and briefly in the wild I very much doubt you’d see these things or commit them to memory.

Maybe, but for my own sanity I prefer to know it is more accurate. To me thats what this hobby is about. I never flaunt my watches and hardly ever anyone has noticed my reps. And when asked if it is real, I alway come clean and confess its a rep. But for myself, I like it more accurate. I dont think Im the only one that feels like that. But knowing VSF would most likely stop at this one, it would be a tough decision. I’ll make my call after the comparison with gen.

It’s probably a design feature we’re not sure about. Definitely not like an expansion joint on the bridge that is meant for expansion and contraction in different temperature and seismic activity.

My exact sentiments. However this V2 is nice enough for me that I decided to get one. If they fixed this flaws I would definitely order the new version. Titanium bracelet is a bonus but not a must.
As we know, any fixed flaws will be replaced with some other mistake haha but I’m not sure there will be another version
