Vs+ has an undecorated 2824.Does your vs+ have a black balance or is that even a thing?
Not to my knowledge but I am looking into it and will share if I find a sourceCan we buy the VS+ titanium strap anywhere?
wow, that's almost $200 !
Here are some pics of my new VSF NTTD paired with a VS+ bracelet
This is very good to know, and how about the rest of the watch?
I thought the VSF was a close replica but looking at some pics and last week saw the gen. And I detect that the rep didn't capture the beautiful brown hue of the dial in the gen... It´s a nice watch nonetheless, but I thought of it to be closer... Maybe in a later version?
There are side by side pics earlier on in this thread. The VSF bezel definitely captures the 'tropical brown' patina whereas the VS+ bezel has a slightly more purple hue under certain lighting. The VSF dial I would say is pretty close to genuine having seen both watches.I thought the VSF was a close replica but looking at some pics and last week saw the gen. There are indeed delays with the VS+ factory. It scaled back operations during the recent 'raids' and there's no news yet of when they'll be returning.Hi everyone. Reading all of the latest updates and reviews as I await my VS+ NTTD rep that I ordered from Trusty.
I have to admit that it's taking a long time lately and I'm just not sure if this is the typical experience that others had.
I ordered the watch on 3/23 and paid within 2 days. Got the first QC pix on 4/4 but the Ti bracelet had something that looked odd and I asked for more pix.
Andrew replied that the QC has been made aware of the issue and instead of more pix they will be sending a new watch.
I've been waiting ever since and when I do follow up I only receive reply that the delay is with the factory and when the new watch is submitted by factory, I'll get the new QC pix
A bit frustrating but i'm hanging on.
So it looks like VS+ is not producing yet and Andrew offered me a VSF V4 as a replacement. I went with it but after approving QC I have a bit of a question to you all regarding the case back and etching of the markers on lugs. they look very "burnt" and not what I've seen on other reps that have a crisp cut look of lettering rather than this brown hue. There are indeed delays with the VS+ factory. If it helps, here are some close-ups of the etchings on the gen.So it looks like VS+ is not producing yet and Andrew offered me a VSF V4 as a replacement. Let me know what you think.
This is why people always suggest a simple water test and seal grease before taking it into waterHey guys,
Don't know if this has been covered but I only just recently got this from VSF (yeah it took ages for it to grow on me haha). But I noticed an unnatural rattling noise when I moved it. I'm normally not one to shy away from opening and repairing these things but since this is Omega's NAIAD lock system I was a bit anxious about needing the exact tool that fits it and how it all works.
Turns out...for better or for worse...it is ridiculously simple to open. I was just having a feel and....two fingers rested like so:
Applied a bit of pressure....rotated what...45 degrees? anticlockwise:
...boom! Lifts right off:
Turns out, if you can see on the movement (near the lower lug with the serial number), a screw and it's retaining tab had fallen loose:
Bit disappointing with this from VSF, but on a positive note, at least I learnt something lol. The caseback really didn't need much force to unscrew, which, in some ways makes me a little worried on water resistance, though at the same time it feels like it screws on tight and solid enough?....
