viper420 I was thinking the price was high, there are vendors across the web selling replicas bands anywhere from $30 all the way up to one I saw on eBay for over $400. I do agree though that getting a rep to make sure I actually like the fit of it is the best way to go before investing in a Gen band. I know for certain wrist sizes the band doesn’t fit well. I did see that Omega offers the band in 3 different sizes. I think the only thing that would bother me about the rep is the color difference between the titanium case and the steel band. But it might not bother me once I have it in hand. I would overall prefer not to spend $1200+ dollars just for a bracelet.

Yep, they are selling Stainless Steel ones, which are basically the same ones we’ve all had on our reps, so not really worth the $900 they want.
Also I think they are only available in 21mm, so wouldn’t fit

Just bought a Gen. “No Time To Die” on the NATO strap. I’d really like the mesh strap as well. Trying to decide if the gen is worth it at 1200+ dollars or just get a nice rep. I found the below rep on eBay. I’m sure the quality isn’t bad, I’m more concerned about the color difference between the titanium case and the stainless band. It does look darker in the pictures (Gen like). Any thoughts. The rep on eBay is listed for about $250.
These are pictures of a gen bracelet. You can tell by the shape of the flip lock part of the clasp and clarity of the oval shaped mesh. I’d be wary, you will not get what’s pictured.

No, the bracelet in the pictures is not gen. Look at the lugs end first, the finish there is poor, and the thickness at the lugs end in gen is bigger, this is a proof mark of the gen NTTD Ti mesh band. None of rep bands have this feature.
Secondly, look at the spring bar tubes on the bracelet, they are totally different from the gen. The gen has the kinda rectangular shape whereas all the reps are cylindrical.
And afterall, there is no way the gen. will be sold at USD250

Your right, sometimes you can scrutinise too much and its becomes worse than it actually is, like someone on here said a while ago most people away from this forum would'nt know the difference, I have a shipping number now lets see how long this takes.

i think a lot of the problem with qc misalignments is the mobile phone lens distortion, as shown above photos from a different angle tell a different story

It is the first time I see the second generation bracelet offered, with the updated spring bar cylinders. Also the clasp and rings on the Nato bracelet have been updated to the right shape. Looks like the patina is updated. Its Seamaster logo is a bit flat. The crown looks better. Shame the inscription on the back isn't deeper. Is it a titanium bezel with alu inlay? Looks like the definition of the watch on the website is outdated. If the coloring looks clode to gen in daylight it's a go for me.
So they’ve changed the strap fixings but not the fabric! They’ve probably go the fixings from the old VSF supplier.
I also noticed that the bezel print is far more accurate, looks very much like the gen.. I think this one is now starting to compete with V3 VSF, they’re pretty darn close.
Not sure when they will be available, with Trusty’s price there, it looks like a place holder just now

Not sure on anything else. Looking at these macro shots the dial itself looks a little too smooth still, but better than before. Lume texture looks better? Hands look better. Lume colors look consistent but "Seamaster" is dull and a bit thin (not getting those sorts of highlights that a thicker layer of ink gets). Seems there is also a new lume pip (my QC has the older slightly larger one, perhaps I have a 1.5 or sorts... hope I got the new dial). Overall looks like a lot of changes have been rolling out slowly and it's now officially a V2.
