I sent her an email two days ago asking about that. No reply yet.

cool, let us know once you get a reply please. it would seem that people are now saying those new batches are not VSF but a mixture of parts. i think if we start to see these, SMP 300s and Pams start to appear as well, then it might be true.

Well, that is interesting. How do they hold up against "genuine VSFs" quality-wise? This being a closed caseback I really don't care what's inside as long as it works and is reliable, but I'm guessing those jury-rigged pieces are probably gonna have some very varying results in terms of looks based on the mixture of parts used.

just saw a post now with a link with open casebacks on these new bacthes of "vsf" subs and they seem to be legit. Lucy also mentions there that Omega and Pams can be ordered. So it seems promising!

How does one get in touch with Lucy?

Closer the end its mentioned about pams and omegas

Hands look slightly different shade to the markers but not the stark contrast of the “white” hands. Other threads suggesting ORF resumed manufacture for a limited period.

Absolutely would I pay this, that I consider to be super rep prices, for that ORF with mismatched hands. One I saw on another thread had almost yellow markers on the dial, orange on the hands and a different shade in the bezel. Joke. We should stop buying it and wait til they do a V2 that is somewhere nearer being worth the money.

My thoughts exactly. The factories keep pumping out crappier reps and still expect us to pay premium price. And worst yet, some actually do it. Is everyone crazy?

The pics in Puretime's site don't seem to have this color variation problem though

Not as bad but still there I think, appreciate I zoomed in but it’s one of those things. Once you see you can’t unsee.

Indeed, doesn’t seem fair to magnify to that level but I’m certain it’s something I would see every time I looked at watch, particularly in sunlight. Hey ho. Keep looking.
