NEW NTTD No Time to Die Titanium/Titanium Seamaster 007 Edition

just received my V4 and honestly, it looks and feels great! The sizing of the bracelet is great and the lightness of the titanium watch feels great as well. One thing that i know some other people have mentioned is, my bezel is a bit loose and I was hoping someone could make some suggestions on how to tighten that, bc other than that, this watch is amazing.

Someone posted that if you pop the bezel off and extend the tabs a bit underneath that causes the clicks it tightens things up. I will probably ask the watchmaker do that when I send mine for a post-purchase service and waterproofing. I need to wait a bit though. Mine just arrive too and I have to enjoy it for a while before mailing it off!

thanks man, good tip! I also saw the post about the floss as well but then i worry that you cant rotate bezel with the floss in place. I like your idea better.

Yeah, I am not putting dental floss under my bezel. Mine is a just tad loose as well, but nothing really to worry about. They key thing is that the alignment is great and the lume isn't too bad either. On the flip side, my gen SM300 had a super tight bezel (too tight - almost not usable) until I got Omega to service the watch. After that it was fine, but it should be, considering the charge for a full service.

It requires popping off the bezel, which I am not keen to do having just received the watch. I have popped off other bezels though and it wasn't too bad. I popped the bezel on my SKX007 to clean, polish and brush the case and bracelet and it was not complicated. The SKX has a thin metal ring under the bezel with a couple little tabs sticking up. I would bet the NTTD is similar.

I'm already loving this watch, lightweight, comfortable, but the lume is complete trash. Seems like that would have been something easy for the factory to improve. Too bad.

My V2/4 lume is quite ok. But only visible in total darkness. And remember that it won't charge under artificial light source!

I’m holding out for the next version or two of the NTTD watch. Pains me to do so, but I’m waiting for them to work out all the kinks & nail that mesh strap design a bit better.

In the meantime, I’ve ordered myself the SPECTRE Omega replica from Trusty Time. Always loved the simplicity of that watch, and the black/grey NATO looks awesome.

What is the protocol again for posting QC photos on here?

You can post QC only if you have a particular question about something on the watch you think is a problem or if you have GL the piece.

It'll charge under any artificial light source as long as the light source emit a bit of UV rays, which they pretty much all do. But the sun will always be the best light source

does the lume need initial heavy exposure to sunlight to make it perform better long term?

If you mean long term during the day, the heavier & longer the exposure, the longer the lume will stay bright, sun being best the best source of light to charge it up

If you mean longevity of the luming compound during the life of the rep, then I'm not a luming compound specialist, but my basic chemistry understanding would push me to believe that the lume will decay over time and the more exposure it get, the faster it'll decay, but I think any lume on any rep will outlast the longevity of said rep in general

Older lumes made with radioactive materials (radium) were radioactive enough to decay the luminescent paint on the watch which is the primary reason why they lost their ability to glow over time.

New gen NATO now installed. It doesn't look this orange in real life, my Samsung phone does saturate the colours somewhat.

Thoughts?

The strap didn't come with the case, tool or spring bars even though the website showed they did. I've queried this with Ernest Jones.

I understand that if you get the nato from a dealer you don’t get the box and tool.

If you buy it from the Omega website you get the red zip up box, extra spring bars and the spring bar tool. For the same price!

Is this true of rep lume? I’ve read a number of people are disappointed with the NTTD lume; is it not as good as the gen for picking up light? The lume ahots I’ve seen seemed ok — and there was a good side by side post about 1500 posts back! ????

Charged under sunlight or, like here, a daylight lighbulb, it is quite a torch. The lume lasts well whole night too. Only the 2 color tone doesn't even last a minute.
